Good Morning Everyone!

We are heading down the home stretch towards September. WOW !!!

What's everyone doing today?

I'll be heading to a friend's pool (nothing new :) ) and then we got $4 tickets the other day (on National Movie Day) to see "The Hill" at 6 tonight.

Kevin calculated his work days until his 6/21/24 retirement date. After holidays, weekends, vacation & sick time (he wants to get that time down below the "payout" amount) he has 151. He was surprised!

Truth be told I'm a little nervous :o

Good morning, Linda. My last year was more than Kevin's will be.

We are meeting PHolks for breakfast and then head north.

Good afternoon Linda and Bill. I had an appointment to donate platelets this morning. On the way home I stopped at a Polish deli and got a kielbasa sandwich and 2 Polish beers to go. The sandwich is delicious, the first beer is only average.

Working on 3 loads of laundry. Bryan just showered after cleaning up and mowing the back yard. One of the neighborhood teens cut the (hilly) front yard for him, and he'll probably be around mid week to do the job.
Make it a great Sunday Funday Pholks!

The Pelicans game was rained out last night, or suspended because it had started already. At 4:30 they'll pick up where they left off last night, the Pelicans coming up in the 2nd inning leading 3-1, play 9 innings, then about 30 or so minutes later play tonight's regularly scheduled game but only 7 innings.

Astros won 17-3. Dusty said it was a fun game. More fun than when we lost 17-1. :) Verlander was pitching well.

The continuation of last night's suspended game didn't go so well for the Pelicans. They were winning 5-1 after 5 innings then gave up 8 runs in the 6th inning and 5 more in the 7th. They lost 14-10. One relief pitcher pitched to 11 batters, 8 of them got on base and 7 scored. So far they're winning the regularly scheduled game 5-0 in the 5th inning.
