Good Morning Gang!
Here we are, 1 week until the unofficial ending of summer. WTH!!!!
Thoughts out to those in the path of Idalia & fingers crossed that somehow Mother Nature weakens the system so that no harm comes to those affected.
Have a good day!

Good morning Ken.
idalia is headed this way but all the weather guys are saying it will be a tropical storm, not a hurricane, by time it gets to South Carolina. But they're also saying we could get 2-3 inches of rain during the day Wednesday and another 3-4 inches Wednesday night. Plus whatever's left over Thursday.
The Pelicans are on a road trip, they're playing in Charleston. That's 2 hours south of here so they'll get the same storm, only earlier. They might have a problem getting all 6 games in this week.

Good morning, Ken and Larry. I'm done with summer trips, but in a beer induced state, I told a PHriend I'd go with him to St, Martens with him if his wife couldn't go.An acquaintance had a week at a time share for 400$. A week is too long to be away from my wife now.

Good morning/afternoon!
Had a good, somewhat busy weekend. Did lots of catchup laundry, cooking, and assorted stuff. Nothing exciting. Cameron's girl came over for dinner, so that was nice. Had some CRAZY wind/rain/thunderstorms yesterday evening.
Today work is busy as we have new hire orientation AND Payroll Monday. I'm already exhausted.
But E and I started planning another trip to Galveston in March.

It's too soon to celibrate, but a little over 5 weeks ago the Mariners were 1 game under .500 and 10 games out of 1st place.
They have 32 games remaining, with the last 10 against the teams from Texas. They play 3 at Texas and then are home for 3 against the Astros and close out the regular season with 4 against the Rangers. Should be fun!

Afternoon BNers
Congrats SP on being in first place. Astros had a bad spell and just couldn't get a win. Last 2 games were great, but will see about the Boston series.
On our way to Walmart. Anyone need anything?

I went to the recycling center earlier and stopped at Total Wine on the way home to replenish my beer supply before Idalia gets here. When I got to Total Wine there was a BMW parked sideways in the parking lot taking up 4 spots.

Made it to Walmart in ONLY 101 degree temps. So much cooler than yesterday. Lol.
It rained here last night. Ok, it didn't really rain ...more like humidity. But we will take whatever. Most of the sidewalk didn't get wet.
Hoping our friends along the East coast are prepared.

We too are watching Idalias path as we were planning to head out for Myrtle beach on Thursday morning. We are now looking at leaving Wednesday. If not we can head out Friday. Or……..

Love that picture, Penny. Ever notice a beater taking up extra spaces? NO! I'm big on retribution, but never do it. I saw a good one on FB. A handwritten note under the wiper in big black Sharpie that says,"I'm pregnant! Call me!"

I still remember one time in college some little princess parked her Mercedes convertible smack in the middle of 4 spaces... and was blocked in by 2
VW bugs a Fiat and an MG... all older cars. She was bitching up a storm to security who very pointedly told her that THEY were all parked legally inside their lines. Never mind day... it made my WEEK!
But just today I saw an old pickup with a bunch of, shall I say "red" bumper stickers (unusual up here, so they stood out), parked pretty much the same way... some things never change...

but unfortunately, that truck was too big to be parked in.
