our trip south has now been moved out 2 days. Why drive in horrible weather when we can just leave on Friday instead of Thursday and still have 5 days with friends.

Good afternoon peoples.

Idalia is supposed to be a tropical storm, not a hurricane, by time it gets here but I did a quick supermarket run anyway. I'm not expecting to lose power but I have an electric stove so in case I can't cook I bought some cold cuts. At least I'll be able to make sandwiches. And I needed milk for my corn flakes.

Can I get those to go? 8)

It's raining here.... well, the pavement is wet, so I think it's raining.... it's not "measureable precipitation". :-?

Ed Sheehan was in town last weekend. Friday night he played at the Paramount Theater in front of 2,800 fans. The next night he played at Lumen Field in front of more than 77,000. It would have been interesting to have been at both concerts to be able to experience the differences. I'm sure it was not unlike JB at The Olympia or La Cigale vs. JB at Riverbend.

Google Earth has current satellite pictures of Maui/Lahaina; incredible, and heartbreaking…. :(

MrsSPH gets home tonight after spending the last week down in SF, taking her 95 year old mom to doctor appointments and visiting family. I need to get a cleaning crew in to get Casa Johnson cleaned up before I head for the airport...

Morning BNers

Another hot day, but shouldn't be in triple digits. Almost every day in Aug was at least 100.

Larry left early this morning for Indy. He has been going to the US Nationals for over 40 years except the Harvey year. I miss going.....
But I can watch it live on the computer....without getting rained on. Because it DOES rain in Indianapolis in the summer time. ;) 🎵

I went downstairs to get my mail and we must have had a little sprinkle earlier this afternoon. The ground is dry but all the cars in the parking lot are wet. And it's a lot hotter than it was when I did my supermarket run this morning.

From what I read his purpose was to play the entire album called Subtraction, a 2022 release, from start to finish to open the show.
He mentioned he really felt the need to play those songs live, but didn't think it was fair to feature those songs to the yellow album crowd in his BIG shows. Ok, I probably made that last part up. Maybe like Jimmy's grand idea of featuring a one particular album in each of his shows awhile back........which unfortunately didn't quite pan out the way many of us hoped. Ahhhh MrSPH...a procrastinator just like Dr.PutItOff. :pirate:

Evening, peeps. 8)

Had a lovely lunch in town today. Next few days will be chores at home, mostly because it’s supposed to rain buckets around here - again. We need to replace and rehang ceiling acoustic ceiling tiles. They’re a complete PITA to install but they do the trick and they look good so whaddya gonna do? [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Last year, Little Feat did the same album every show. Starting in the Fall, they are doing 2 shows...M and Tues or whatever the dated are. They are doing 2 different albums on those days. We are going to Nashville for both shows. I can't wait. I need to ask Sang what the albums are.

Last season was Waiting for Columbus.
This is this season.
