It's supposed to be another rainy day, Tropical Storm Ophelia is out over the Atlantic. No direct hit here, landfall will be in North Carolina, but we'll get some rain. The weather guy said we're on the west side of the storm so we might get a reverse storm surge. The wind will be coming from the west and low tide could be lower than normal as the wind pushes the water away from the shore.

We have sun...I'll be heading out after lunch to join some girlfriends. My "job" today is laundry and move some of the deck furniture so when Kevin gets home he can leaf blow and then sweep the deck so I can paint the few boards we had replaced a few weeks ago. (got to get ready to sell next spring/summer ).

My Beer Of The Month Club delivery was scheduled for today. FedEx sent me a text message at about 7:30 telling me my window for delivery was 10:40-2:40. The FedEx guy was just here. Now if the rain holds off I don't have to stay home all day waiting for my beer.

So I just pulled the trigger on a Mac show for October 2. Little early Birthday present for Me He already has a benefit show setup on Oct. 1 that sold out. Both of us have lived in a 10-mile radius most of our lives. (Including our 40 yrs of marriage.)
We’ve built/bought 3x in that 40 yrs & each in that radius.

Ringer family motto. “If it’s more than 10 miles it’s a road trip and we need snacks and drinks”.

Morning BNers

It is 85 and adding another 10 degrees today. I have no plans except sprawled on the couch with the heating pad. The pain is less during the day but trying to find a comfortable position at night can be miserable. But one day at a time.

Another Astros game tonight. Only just a few more regular season games.

Another fun Friday - I'm stuck at the front desk AGAIN. This morning I had call after call after call of stupid and rude people. At least they are quieting down now.. Makes me crabby!!

it's only 10:20, and I'm definitely ready for a drink. Are we there yet?

I felt like having pizza so I went online, ordered a pie from Mellow Mushroom and went to pick it up. They have 3 numbered parking spots at the side of the building, you pull in, call the restaurant, give them your name and tell them which spot you're in and they bring your order out to your car. I called when I got there and a very pleasant sounding young lady answered. I identified myself and told her what spot I was in, she said she was waiting for my order. Almost as soon as she said that she said "oh wait, someone just put it in my hot box". I had no response.

Larry speechless? Now that doesn't happen very often.

Just got home from work and am sipping on a margarita. Bryan asked me if we were busy today and I said uh yeah actually, but for the life of me I couldn't think of what I was busy doing.
We hung bats in the display windows and I'll be making more on Monday. According to my boss, you can't have too many bats. I had to price some containers, print out a price sheet for the fall mums, print and hang signs on the doors for the upcoming Ladies Night, and in between answer the phone and take orders.
Daughter is in Tampa on her way to Orlando. She's almost there.

Its better with paper plates but they are harder to spin

Did a round of mini golf with a group of ladies I met on the NEXTDOOR APP -- they are all fantastic people and we had a lot of laughs ! Nothing is better for the soul than laughter.

We painted the stain on the few deck boards that were replaced a few weeks ago. Glad to see we can't tell the difference with the new & old.

We are looking at some severe weather coming our way thanks to Ophelia. Hearing we may get up to 2" of rain -- YIKES!
