National Pancake TUESDAY @ the MSC

Good Morning Everyone!

Time to celebrate the day :).
National Pancake Day on September 26th sets up a tall stack of syrupy goodness to celebrate! Set the table. Mix up the batter. Heat up the griddle. Because the butter is ready to melt and the flapjacks are delicious!
Also known as Johnnycakes, griddle cakes or hotcakes, this batter-made breakfast item dates back more than 30,000 years. In fact, it may be the oldest breakfast food in history.

We don't have them often at Ringville but PopPop (Kevin) does make the "big as your head" pancakes for the grandsons when they visit. I usually get a smaller one with the leftover batter.

Have a fantastic last Tuesday of September.

Good Morning Linda, those to come.
Dropped Lynn off at the airport this morning as she & her girlfriend are off to Cancun. Her girlfriend's hub & I will be traveling this Friday to Oxford Mississippi for the weekend for the Ole Miss/LSU football game. Ironically, our weather forecast looks quite a bit better than theirs with similar daytime temps & full sunshine compared to their cloudy skies & chance of scattered showers most of their days there. :( Although they'll be at an all-inclusive so they'll probably have better perks than us. [smilie=nod.gif] We'll make the best of it I reckon :pirate:

I'm ok with pancakes, but their far from a breakfast favorite for me. Give me a good Omelette any day of the week.

Enjoy your 26th day of September gang!

Good morning Linda and Ken.

I'm not much of a pancake person, I go for a simple breakfast. I'm good with a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice.

I heard David McCallum died yesterday, he was 90 years old. I'll miss him on NCIS, Ducky was my favorite character on the show. Coincidentally, The Great Escape was on TCM last night. It didn't start until 10:15 and it's almost 3 hours so I didn't stay up to watch it but I recorded it. I'll watch it later today, even though I've seen it several times and I know how it ends.

Morning BNers

Another sleepless night. I am doing better but just can not be in a completely prone position in bed. I have slept a few nights but last night wasn't one of them. I doubt it will get any better while we are traveling. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

The Astros actually beat Seattle late last night!!! Let's see what happens tonight. πŸ§‘βšΎοΈπŸ’™

Good morning Molly, Larry, Ken, Linda!

It's a SSDD around here today.

I just had a mini cheese omelet, a piece of bacon, and a bagel. I was SO hungry! I'd rather have savory foods for breakfast. Pancakes are fine, but I prefer waffles if I'm gonna have something sweet.

I'm off today and have spent the day on the phone with no less than 3 local pharmacies trying to get the meds I need. One said even though they've had the Rx for over a week they still don't have it and don't know when they will get it. The 2nd one said they could have it by tomorrow maybe so I called the doctor to ask them to move the Rx. Then the 3rd one said it's too soon to refill even though the dosage has changed which is why I need it sooner. Also waiting on a call back from a therapist so Bryan and I can get an appointment for family counselling on how we should be dealing with our middle daughter who holds us hostage with her mood swings and tantrums.
I did wash the bed linens and remake the bed. So I have that going for me which is nice.

Thanks Penny. Not done yet. Still waiting for the therapists office to call back. I'll call again around 4:00 if I don't hear back from them before then. Got a call back from my doc's office but unfortunately I have to call them yet again to have them call the mail order pharmacy to release the Rx with new dosage. At the moment I'm enjoying a margarita and trying to relax for a second or two.

I feel your pain Tammy. We had to do this when our son Brandon (now 35, father of 1, father of another on the way, fulltime supervisor at a local logistics company and a Staff Sargent in the Army National Guard -- who'da thunk????) was giving us problems between 16-18. I know your daughter is older and doesn't live with you so hopefully it will be easier (is that even possible when are kids are involved). Feel free to give me a call if you want to vent [smilie=hearts.gif]
