I tried (like a million other people!) to get tickets for Atlanta, and after thirty minutes, I finally got through to a TM representative who told me they sold out in five and a half minutes.

But, he told me to try ticketmaster.com later that Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning because any tickets that were released due to bad credit cards would then be available. I did that, and I have also been trying regularly, but everytime I have ever tried it says "Currently Not on Sale." I was just wondering if anyone has gotten Atlanta tickets outside of the first five and a half minutes because if any have been relased, I haven't seen them.

I've been keeping an eye on that, as well, and Atlanta's the only venue that's been on "more info" rather than "find tickets" since (you're right) about five minutes into the process. Apparently Atlanta's the hot ticket this year... I've also been keeping an eye on the ticket exchanges & ebay, and it looks like the average price for lawns is well over $100 (those for the deals -- $150 is looking more common).

Still not a bad price considering the cost of "other " stuff.

Ok, before anyone get's offended, I am talking about a 50 cent beer that costs 6 dollars in the venue. Anyone paying attention to that markup? A beer is a one-time event, no?

Reef,
In Nashville you couldn't find a $6 beer. Coronas were 24 oz for $9.00.

(Apparently Atlanta's the hot ticket this year... ) YEAAAAA Right!

Yea try great woods, if you think Atlanta is a hot ticket it can't come close to tickets at GW! Atlanta is only BIG becasue he is only doing one show there. He played there in November and there were still tix available a day before the show.

GW's a very tough ticket, too, (and there's no point in getting into a pi$$ing match about best venues, as that doesn't seem to be the point) but Atlanta sold out faster -- probably, as you point out, due to the fact that there's only one show, but also keep in mind that this is his first outdoor concert there in a while...and TM freqently releases tickets in the last days before a show, so there might even be some GW tickets that go free in late August.

As someone who got both Atlanta and GW tickets this year, Atlanta was a *much* tougher ticket purchase for me. I attribute this primarily to the ticket maximums that each venue allowed purchasers to buy: Atlanta allowed a maximum of 10 tickets per person (for lawn seats, anyway), whereas GW only allowed 4 tickets per person. When you finally get through to a TM operator or TM outlet rep, it's real tough not to ask for the maximum allowable tickets, if for no other reason than it lets you swap for other shows or invite more phriends to be a part of your tailgate.
