Good morning BN. Phil is 75 miles away, but I have never met him.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning.

Malverne Mel didn't see his shadow either so Long Island will have an early spring. Malverne is just north of Valley Stream, where I grew up, but I don't remember Mel being around when I lived there.

What a beautiful day for a walk in the park. For the 3rd week in a row there's a softball tournament. It's 65 degrees today, last weekend it was in the 70s, the week before that it was in the 30s with wind chills in the teens. The teams who played last weekend and the ones who are here this weekend are probably pretty happy they didn't play 2 weeks ago.

Hi there! I'm waiting for paint to dry. Four projects need wrapped up before Cabin Fever. The 2 biggest are paintings and both are almost done.

"Butt" is a measurement of wine, about 1.2 galloons. It could be said one could have a buttload of wine.

Staten Island Chuck predicted the same. BTW, I read recently that apparently Hempstead has one too.... I do not recall its name now, but I have no memory of any groundhog forecasters other than Phil when I was growing up on LI either...
