Goodbye April SATURDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning Everyone!

I was awake at 2:30 but went back to sleep; woke at 4:30 and went downstairs to the sofa. Woke up at 7. We are heading to mom's close to lunchtime to do a final search of any photos or documents that need to be out before the auction company starts to pack/purge on Tuesday.

We have 1st 2 U-boxes arriving on May 8. The garage continues to fill up with things that will go in those boxes. We are slowly living in a place now that is void of any wall pictures/decorations and cabinets that are slowly emptying.

Tonight we will head to a local pizzeria to hear our friend Heather Vidal for a few hours. (she plays several times a year in KW)

Good morning Linda and BN! :)

Rainy/dreary day here today. And we have our usual grocery/liquor store shopping to do.

Happy tho, that my watch thingy said I got 9.9 hours of sleep last night. That hasn't happened in FOREVER!

Linda - continued good luck with the packing of mom's house. And enjoy the music this evening!

Good morning Linda and Penny. Today will be a relaxing kind of day, until tonight. I'm going to see George Thorogood & The Destroyers at the Carolina Opry Theater. I'll kill the day by watching the NY Islanders try to stop the Carolina Hurricanes from getting a 4 game sweep in the first round of the playoffs, the game starts at 2:00.

We went down to Palm Springs this week (my first time there) to check things out...
It was too hot and too windy, and the wind made it too dusty and there were air quality warnings.

We saw Marilyn:

And went to the Margaritaville Resort to pay our respects to Jimmy. We weren't enamored by the resort, it is, after all, just a 60+ year old place (the Riviera) painted up and re-themed to attract Parrotheads.

At the resort I saw this sign that I thought was kinda cute:

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

Enjoy the show tonight! I saw them years ago when I lived in Charlotte... had to have been 1985.
As to the Isles... they are leading right now... but after their collapse in Game 2  I am not holding my breath...

The Marilyn statue reminds of a sci fi B movie,,, The Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

I should think about leaving for the concert, it takes 25-30 minutes to get to the theater and I don't want to have to rush to get to my seat. The good thing about a 7:00 start is I'll be home in time to watch the Vegas Golden Knights game, they start at 10:30. I might not be able to stay awake to watch the whole game but I can set the DVR before I go to bed.
