Pickled Pigs Feet? To quote the fine Minister "PMGO"(literally, but thats a story for another day). I'm kind of afraid my husband would like THE CARNIVOROUS YODEL. How about fried bologna on white bread? GaBuffettFan is right, geographics plays no part, my mom was from Ohio, my dad is from Arkansas and I was raised in California and if you refer to my above post, I have been known to foist such fine fare as the dreaded Ambrosia confection (with walnuts)on my own children.

Son -
I just thought the image of your wife eating pickled pigsfeet was so horrible, you double posted!!!!!
Juicyfruit -
Fried balogna was right up there with fried hot dogs and fried spam. Was there any other way to cook stuff then than fry it?????
And I didn't know that Velveeta wasn't REALLY a "cheese" until I was about 12.

LMAO Ohio! I always tell my kids Velveeta is for rich people and when we are rich they can have it. We'll each have to bring a dish to Margarita
Stock!

Not to get all sentimental, but lately, I have been looking forward to coming home to hear from you guys. My job is soooo stressful, and personal life sometimes is too, so it's nice to just be able to LMAO for a while with people who are as demented as me...I hope I get a chance to meet you all in person some day, I am sure that it would be a riot....Ragtop days to you all....
PEACE

JuicyFruit: oh, and the dishes we'll bring! I'm grinning just thinking about it!
As for the fried boloney (NOT spelled 'bologna', not in my grandma's house), I never really knew there was another way to have it- always loved the x's she cut in the middle & was pretty sure she was magic. I also cannot think of a dish ('cept maybe oatmeal) that did not have bacon & onion added to it to stretch it just a little farther... You guys left out the fact that ALL baking was done with 100% pure lard (& dangit, it was GOOD!)
...it started in my grandma's kitchen by the sea...

LisaD: I couldn't agree more. I think I come to work mostly for the chance to keep up with all of my new friends. I used to just read the posts, but since I have been posting myself, I enjoy it so much more. It really helps to know there are people out there just as consumed with JB as me. Even though I live in California, if this Margarita Stock thing happens, I am going to be there somehow. Can you imagine all the great memories we would carry home from something like that? Peace to you my friend.

Lisa: you make it sound like you're not planning on Iowa next summer? This isn't Wharf Rat's cruise, honey, we're going! Phins up to you phriend, it sounds like you're pacing the cage again, keep the faith, we're here!
...sometimes the best map will not guide you...

Oatmeal and bacon & onions are not necessarily mutually exclusive. FYI

Juicy: have you gotten busted yet participating in the 'add 1 line of the song' post? (actually this is for any of you working, GaBuff, Mark, etc.) I'm sitting here minding my own bidness, trying to make it look like this is work stuff, then realize that I just sang the last verse & 1/2 out loud (& off key, mind you!)while trying to come up with the next dang line!! Now, I'm gettin' weirder looks than ever-- it's one thing to sing with the radio- I was just keepin' time with the tunes in my brain! yikes.
...quietly makin' noise...

I get a hoot out of you guys, too (literally, most days). & Lisa, how can anyone not get sentimental when the topic is Tupperware? You show me someone who doesn't & I'll show you someone with a cold heart and stale baloney.

Ohio: Oh yeah, but since the broken wrist, they are not suprised by anything I do. My fruitcake status is widely known and folks tread lightly for fear it might rub off. My actual work to discussion board ratio is at an all time low.

that would be like implying that a Twinkie could go bad! It's just not gonna happen. You know why they put expiration dates on them? Because the wrappers wear out! Every two years they have to take 'em back to the factory and re-wrap 'em!!
^^'s up!

I stand corrected -- who could forget the cherished green lettuce crisper? In honor of some recent posts, I would have said 'stale spam', but I don't think that's chemically possible.
