Hey Ohio!!!
Tomorrows the big day and I am very envious! I actually have read Grafton's series (although I am too cheap to buy in hardcover because I read the darn things in an evening so I haven't read "N is for Noose" yet). Please email me and I will pass on a great summer reading list from WD.

To everyone going to the show tomorrow, have an awesoem time...think of me here all alone, just me an empty kitchen, and all these tasty ingredients...who knows what I can whip up in your absence.... Seriously, to navymom, PGHPirate, and OHIO....have a blast, don't do anything that I wouldn't do....oy vey, that doesn't leave much does it?
I will try to post some recipes to help you to recover from your post-concert hangovers....tune in on Sunday for "Patchwork Oatmeal", and "Toasty Eggs."
PEACE

Though this is a good album, the cheap packaging of the CD sucks. Coming from a multi-million and one of the top paid entertainers of 2000, you'd think he'd put a little more of his money into his own products. I feel ripped off.

Ok
#1) Isn't this an "album review" chat?
#2) I may be a fairly "new" PH, but I thought this was not the best I've heard. maybe it's just me, but I didn't feel any sincerity and it seemed as though each song was rushed through. I liked, for the most part, the selection of songs, and the sound quality was good, but I really didn't like this live album.

I agree with anonymous!!! I whole-heartedly feel that for his live albums "Feeding Frenzy" tops this right along with "You Had To Be There". JB has so much more feeling in them!!!!!! Makes you get up and DANCE BABY!!!!!!

Ahhh, the glory of hearing Jimmy PLOW through Cheeseburger because it doesn't need to be phucking played anymore. Nice to have the updated Margaritaville, and some of the obscure album tracks. Nothing new though, Fruitcakes is as good as it gets. Too bad - he could have really stretched out a bit with tunes from his 1990s albums, especially since they sold so much better than all of his classic albums. But it's a new label and he has to sell - there for, all the songs you know by heart. Boring and predictablem, but at least the performance is excellent.

I agree with you Tommy
If he ever makes another live album,
I hope that he includes a lot of his newer stuff.
Since it seems that he has to play some of the SYKBH,maybe he could just narrow it down to three or four and let the rest of the album be the rare/new songs.
I also think that his voice sounds
better/more alive on Feeding Frenzy

Im glad we got the Pencil Thin Mustache mistake cleared up. Alpine Valley all the way baby. I can hear myself. I remember it like it was yesterday. This CD kicks some major Phin •••!! Tin Cup can it get any better. Coconut Telegraph outstanding. I could go on all day. We all know Jimmy is god!!! Seen him now 22 times. Looking to hit 25 this year. Not bad for a 28 year old. Question. Will he ever play He Went to Paris live ever again>

This album is a P.O.S.
It was made just apease the parrotheads.
Also JB had a new record label to promote (Mailboat).
There is nothing original about this cd. Just the same SYKBH cd live.
In my opinion JB would have done better if he had released a live cd of material that he had never put down live before.
He has the material to do so, but chose to release the same old stuff.

It is a great live record but I wish it couldv'e been done as a single unedited concert instead of jumping around from place to place, and Jimmy talks a bunch during a show and on record it seems as if they edited some things out and the little pieces that are provided do not flow among the entire cd. Otherwise, it is great that it focuses on some great oldies (Tryin' to reason, Tin Cup Chalice) and the sound quality is great and it actually sounds as if you're at the show.

Which one?
The Thursday show when the songs were recorded, or the Saturday show when Jimmy did the video portion? (Or were you lucky enough to make it to
both?)
I was at Saturday's that year... Got to see Savannah Jane and Ed Bradley singing back-up!
