I would love to go to MargaritaStock, but the logistics will be hard for me. I live in California and have three parakeets, ages seven, four and one. My devious Buffett-driven mind has been scheming ways I could swing it, I just might come up with a way by next summer. I feel like I already know you and PGHPIRATE and NAVYMOM and MINISTEROFMARGARITA from your posts. I would love to get together with some like-minded, Buffett obsessed Parrotheads for some extended relief. My husband tolerates my obsession, and faithfully attends all concerts, but its not quite the same. Thanks for welcoming me, I'm going to start posting more often.

I saw Jimmy April 29th at Irvine Meadows and broke my left wrist doing the limbo during the pre-concert festivities in the parking lot. Alcohol was definitely a factor. Margaritaville Tequila to be exact. Not to worry though, my husband made a sling out of my sweatshirt and I didn't miss a minute of the show. The cast will come off next week. I need to convince my husband that I am responsible enough to attend Parrothead activities without inflicting bodily harm to myself.
MINISTEROFMARGARITA: The ladies have generously invited me to MargaritaStock. Provided that I can convince the Mr. that it would not be dangerous for me to attend, we will require just one hammock.

Good thing we'll have several from the medical profession in attendance (there you go, tell your Mr. we have that part covered!) You broke your wrist & stayed for the concert?!? (I know- how could you do anything else...) I bow down, you are the queen! As for the satin, I think that my own wedding gets to be revenge on all those that had me as a bridesmaid & the 'confections' they had us wear. Unfortunately, some of that was in early '80's. Can you say big floppy peach colored hat WITH netting down the back!?! Since I hate pastels (& earth-tones), I very likely will choose something more in my style, but it is such FUN to torture with that for right now it's pepto bismol volcanos for everyone! ok, don't want to bore--phins up!

I live out in Neb and just got married 7 mos ago and must admit that I had the bow butt thing on my gown but you see I NEEDED it otherwise i'd have noassatall!!!! I'm out here visiting my sister for the month of June just to make sure that I would be here and there would be no set-backs or interferences with my travel plans and just to be sure that wouldnt happen my sister DROVE cross country just to pick me up so I will be here on time for the concert! I hope that perhaps I'll get to meet you at the Minister's place in Iowa as that is much closer to my neck of the woods Will you be attending the MOTM in Nov? BTW hope your wrist is healing up fast.

no, we haven't gotten to the parking lot yet, but i will admit this, ALLLLLLL my jimmy decorations are sitting out in my basement ready to be loaded up for the concert....only thing we haven't gotten around to yet is making sure my gigantic wooden fins fit the roof of my Jeep, i had an Explorer and the fins were "CUSTOM MADE", with love, for that!!! everyone pray for me that these fins fit, otherwise a can of whoopass is gonna be opened on i don't know who!!!!!! otherwise, the clothes are all ironed up and everything is ready to leave promptly at 9:00 A.M. on 6/22!!!!!!!!!

If they're shunned within that venue for their tackiness & lack of propriety, we'll know we've achieved the proper level of understated taste & perfection...

Hope you're feeling better soon -- amazing how much you rely on those little things (&, of course, there's the wonderfully fun 'statue of liberty with plastic bag on arm' showering experience.....)
