Ohio: This could be a wedding shower game to end all. Have you given any consideration to the shower yet? Or better yet the bachelorette party? There are several more Buffet-music playing, Captain Morgan drinking, Margarita swilling events to be planned. BTW was the Captain and orange soda idea yours? I tried it over the weekend and it is really good. ^^'s up!

yep, orange Shasta was the first thing I tried with the Captain & I thought I'd reached nirvana. That drink inspired lots of experimentation. It's amazing how much fun a blender can be!! As for the shower, I don't have as much input/control over this wedding thing as you'd think, LisaD. & MrsE. are pretty much running it (& doing a damn fine job!) I'll leave the wedding shower to you if you want it, but I'm warning you, these women put ballerinas in Tupperware for fun!! (tee-hee)

First, my compliments on the drink! Do you blend it? I just put it over ice. Second, ballerinas in Tupperware?!? Should I be concerned? I will get in touch with LisaD. and MrsE. about the shower. We wouldn't want to miss any reasons for a party.

JuicyFruit: I've never blended the shasta (would the carbonation cause a volcano-like explosion?), only had it on the rocks. A blender treat to try is either Captain or Parrot Bay with pineapple or orange/pineapple juice, throw in some ice, blend smooth, sit back and listen to 'Fruitcakes'. As for the ballerina in Tupperware...it was 3 or 4 of us talking at the same time about distantly related things. About the same way I thought SonOfA was running nekkid, by the time you got to the end of the day, MrsE was being being burped & sealed (she's the ballerina amongst us). Go figure!

Ohio: I couldn't agree more about the Parrot Bay and pineapple juice, that is also good on the rocks. My husband totally appreciates that I have found Buffett related friends on the net, it spares him from my endless fascination with the subject. I actually look forward to going to work in the morning to see what's up with you all. Have a very fruitful day!

SonOfA: not to be disrespectful, and I'm really glad you tried it, but...with Coke? Parrot Bay? please, if you liked that, try it with either ginger ale or pineapple juice. (Although, Thelma & Louise said that Captain & coke was good, I've never tried that one either...) takes all kinds of cookies in the oven, I guess... ;)

SonOfA & Ohio: Actually, Strawberry Kiwi Hi-C (I had it for the kids) and Parrot Bay is really tasty too.

JUICYFRUIT:

AT THE BEGINNING OF ALL THE MADNESS WITH JIMMY, MY SISTER AND I WERE LIKE A FEEDING FRENZY, SO WE KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GOING THRU. WHEN WE FOUND BUFFETTNEWS.COM A FEW MONTHS BACK, OH MY GOD, THE EXCITEMENT STILL HASN'T LEFT US. WE COULDN'T BELIEVE THERE WERE PEOPLE OUT THERE LIKE US????? IT'S LIKE YOU GOTTA TALK ABOUT IT AND THERE'S NO ONE THAT UNDERSTANDS, LUCKILY MY SISTER AND I HAVE ONE ANOTHER, CUZ NO ONE ELSE UNDERSTANDS US BUT OTHER PARROTHEADS. WE'LL LISTEN TO YOU JUICYFRUIT. YOU JUST STICK WITH US HERE. HAS OHIO GIVEN YOU THE PROPER INVITE TO IOWA NEXT YEAR? I MAY EVEN HAVE, BUT I'M SOO STRANDED ON A SANDBAR HERE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER, PLUS JIMMY IS COMING TO PGH. NEXT WEEK AND I'M SOOOOOO EXCITED.

I'm noticing a common denominator in all of these 'recipes' (& it ain't fruit juice) -- & all of them apparently 'delish'. Couple of those babies, & you'll be burping Tupperware whether you're at a party or not......and I wouldn't presume to speculate about any ballerina-associated activities which might ensue (though -- juicyfruit -- you still wearing your temporary reminder of a temporary limbo?)

LISA!!!!!!

I was just going to post an MIA alert on you!

We got struck by lightening too and it fried my modem, so I can only get here while at work. At least until my hubby can get a new modem and get it put in the computer!!!

Glad all is well with you. I've missed you lots.

Pghpirate: I must say, since I found this discussion board and innocently replied to Ohio one time, I am hooked. I am sure my employer would not be pleased with how much time I spend posting and reading all of your cool posts. This has elevated my already out-of-hand obsession (by some people's standards, not mine) to a greater height than even I thought could be reached. I check for new posts here before I reply to business email and return messages! Glad to be aboard.

WD: My temporary reminder came off last week, but now I have a nasty tan line (I live in Southern California) that is proving to be pretty persistent. I think the permanent reminder will be my husband. He is ten years older than me and really gloating that I am no longer as young as I used to be. The actual injury occured in a limbo contest with my twenty-one-year-old nephews and several of their friends which my husband generously pointed out ahead of time that I was too old to enter (I am thirty-three). I don't really think it was the age that did me in so much as the tequila.
