Comments: I went to Margaritaville Orlando just before midnight to buy the new "Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays" CD. (The manager was surprised that I wasn't the first one there since I go there often and was the first in line for the Grand Opening show and the first in line for the "Beach House On The Moon" release).

Margaritaville was handing out framable posters, (approximately 16x24 or 18x24), to customers buying the new CD. I bought three, but they would still only give one poster per customer. The poster is of the cover for the CD. Cool collectible!

I saw the manager take them out of the box. There was only a small stack. Unless they had a LOT more somewhere else, I'd say they are probably gone by now.

I only have a couple of MINOR complaints. One is that there is no listing of what tracks were recorded where. Though Jimmy mentions specific cities, the intro to some songs are at the end of others due to editing and at some times it is misleading as to what song was recorded where.

The other is that it is packaged in a "sleeve". While I understand that it is probably cheaper to manufacture and is designed to protect the environment, it is a pain in the neck to remove from the package while driving down the road. Most importantly, I have a LARGE collection of CDs that I intend on keeping the rest of my life. I will not be littering the planet with my plastic cases. These thin cardboard ones wear out in a very short period of time. The only options are to butcher the packaging, (unacceptable), or take the CD without the package. Even if that is done, the package is not protected from bumps, scrapes, or temperature and humidity changes.

These are just my opinions, so don't be upset with me. I'm glad that Jimmy FINALLY came out with his version of "Southern Cross". I love the audience participation in "Pencil Thin Mustache", (which I know was in Orlando - I was there!), and the version of "Margaritaville" witch includes the "salt, salt, salt" chants in it. However, last year in Orlando, Jimmy sang an extra verse in "Margaritaville" that was NOT the "old men in tank tops" verse! I had never heard it before and I was hoping it would show up on this CD. It did not. Bummer.

The sound quality and the editing on this CD are FAR better than his last two live efforts, thanks to modern technology.

Just thought you'd like the info on the posters. Thought I'd throw in my twenty cents worth on everything else!

Have a very fruitful day!

Review : I ventured out at midnight last night to pick up the new cd at Media Play's "midnight madness", I happened to be the only one there on this particular Monday night...so I guess I am one of the first to own the new cd, in CT, anyway. I LOVE this cd, played it through almost twice before I went to bed, and am listening again now, Tuesday morning. My particular favorites are "Love & Luck", and "Southern Cross". The updated songs from Great Woods are sentimental, I was at both of those shows this summer. I think the new versions of the older songs are quite welcome, especially "Fins" and "Margaritaville". There is quite a bit on the ehhanced portion, except the old clunker Pentium 120 I have doesn't play video very well, so I guess that is a good reason to buy a new one, so I can see the video. I don't like the cardboard packaging, however. It's tough to get the cd in and out of the side pocket. ....../\....... Fins up from Connecticut!! Tom

Review : The selection of songs is great, although it would have been nice to have some songs from recent albums (Barometer Soup, Banana Wind, BHOTM). I was at the WPB and Orlando concerts last year where some of the songs were recorded, which is a nice touch. The sound quality is much better than on the earlier live efforts -- thanks to modern digital technology. A couple of complaints, though -- as I like to listen to CD's in the 'Random' mode, it is troubling that the song introductions seem to be at the end of the previous track, rather than on the track being introduced. Also, the cardboard sleeve leave a lot to be desired. After the negtive reaction to the DSTC CD packaging, I thought that the jewel case was back for good. Overall, another great Buffett Album for the collection!

Review : Just purchased the album at Target during lunch. Playing it on the computer now. I mean I am working, not!!!! I have been waiting for a new live album for many years. It's really good, i would recommend it to any buffett fan. The backstage video was real neat. I can't believe how old Savannah looks. I think the ultimate job would be a roadie for Jimmy. Target has the album for 9.96. Although i would pay 20 bucks. I hope he puts out the video (on DVD). I would stand in line for that one. Only wish i had some of that Margaritaville teguila for tonight. Buffett Bob in Texas.......

Review : Its finally here!! I really have been waiting for this album since I first heard about many Beach House on the Moons ago. I honestly have to say the album is a true masterpiece. Buffett sounds great and so does the Coral Reefers. The only exception that makes me mad is the stores. I went to one music store and they had no clue what I was talking about. So I went to another on e and explained about Buffett's new label and the lady thought I was wasted away again in Margaritaville...So I went to the mall, and to my amazement: Buffett music playing live from the speakers right as I walked into the store. I was impressed and I was in Parrothead heaven. The album cost me a few bucks more, but it is worth every darn penny. The video brings back some summer flashbacks during the show. Last its good to have a live copy of Tryin to Reason. I never get to hear it in concert, but I can close my eyes, sip on a margarita and listen to it as if I were at the show.

Review : The new album is fabulous and better quality than live albums of the past. Tin Cup Chalice finally received its due and is now live. The CD is not meant to be put on random play, so I understand why some tracks and introductions of songs are mixed up. I believe Jimmy put them in an order sort of like he plans a concert. I heard people comment about Pencil Thin Mustache and where it was recorded. I believe it was recorded at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin this past summer. THe crowd participation is much clearer, but there are some obvious songs that i would have liked to see added. But thats the fun of it and you keep wishing. I am looking for any bootlegs or concert on tape or CD. So please email me if you can help a phan start his collection. Review : I thought it would be hard to top "Feeding Frenzy" in terms of a live album, but it's been done! I think the album is great. Song selection and clarity are awesome! My favorites are "Brown Eyed Girl" with the percussion solo and of course, "Southern Cross." Is it me, or do Jimmy's cover versions of songs seem better than the originals? I also love the jazzy version of "Volcano" and finally, the "Fruitcakes" opening brings back fond memories of 1994 and my all time (of 10) favorite Concert! I also would pay for a DVD version of the concert, then they could throw in the CD ROM extras and maybes some new bonus material!!!! -SC

Review : Jim: I don't that the individual songs need more comment than the review you've already posted. It's nice to have a decent recording of Southern Cross that sounds a bit better than a Realplayer bootleg version. The video portion was superior to those on ther CD's such as DSTC. The audio was actually synced with the video this time. Sound balance for a live album is outstanding - Jimmy's not drowned out by the crowd.

Review : I just purchased the album during my lunch break. Played through it once and am hooked on this live album above all others. Excellent all the way, no skimping on anything. Great performances. Great enhancement on the CD. I do particularly enjoy the rendition of Margaritaville on the enhancement, just like Buena Vista Social Club! A must for all, not just Parrotheads! Could this album replace JB’s Best of?????

Review : Okay, I am really annoyed. Best Buy didn't get their shipment in at lunch so I had to drive across town and pay full price. But it is worth it. I don't really like Fruitcakes, but the live rendition puts you right back at the concert. I loved "Trying to Reason" and having Southern Cross is terrific (although Jimmy's vocals on this version aren't great). I'm a little disappointed that there are so many "songs you know by heart" that are we've heard live before, and they take the place of what might be some older, less played gems. On the other hand, the enhanced CD video is really fun.

Review : The new album sounds great. I was at the store fairly early in the morning, and as I was paying I noticed the guy behind me was buying two copies. I usually don't like all the sykbh, but aside from cheeseburger I find all the ones on this album enjoyable. I wish school boy heart would have made the cut. The only bad thing about this album is that it will probably draw even more fans to the shows next summer making tickets even harder to get.

Review : Hmmmmm, Although I am still p*** at Jimmy for including songs such as cheeseburger, while disincluding the likes of Jamaica Mistaika, Waiting for the next explosion etc, I will say the album is an A minus. I'll go track by track... Fruitcakes- Grade: A+ A fine example of Jimmy's newer work in a concert setting, but this song only leaves us longing for more NEW material. Southern Cross- Grade: A It's about time...but IMHO I think we still deserve a studio version. Pencil Thin Mustache- Grade: A This song shouldn't be on here, but it saves itself by lending tremendous atmosphere to the album(when Jimmy banters back and forth with the crowd) Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season- Grade: B A great old tune, the only reason for the lesser grade...I have a bootleg version which is better. Coconut Telegraph- Grade: B Another good tune, but little mellow for my taste...I've heard better renditions. Cheeseburger in Paradise: Grade: C- Come on Jimmy, nothing new is happening in this song, and it was on feeding frenzy...give it a rest. Come Monday: Grade: C- Once again....feeding frenzy, but nonetheless a good tune. Son of a Son of a Sailor: Grade: A- Not included on FF, was on had to be there, but this is a pretty fresh new version and nadirah sounds good in it. Volcano- Grade: B- Once again...Feeding Frenzy Brown Eyed Girl- Grade: A Much needed recording of a concert standard Tin Cup Chalice- Grade: A+ IMHO the sleeper of the album....I love the original, but i wasn't sure how this version was gonna turn out. It is very smooth...Excellent song. Fins- Grade: B- Feeding Frenzy, but slightly different this time, seems like the crowd used to be little more crazy during the intro to this song(esp on FF), but now you can notice the hushed awe of 35000 arms in motion....I know im oo busy looking around to cheer usually. OPH- Grade: B+ Feeding Frenzy Material, but this version is radically different, slightly mellowed...only slightly. The new horn riffs are especially cool so I was GLAD to see this made it to the album. The ending of this version is blows FF's away. Margaritaville- Grade: B A pretty good version, Gets a B b/c it is clearly better than the one on FF. Love and Luck- Grade: A I always loved the studio version, and the live one isn't lacking anything. Great song.

Review : Hey to all the fellow Parrotheads out there! Just picked up my copy of the new Live album. I give it 3.5 Corona's/4.0 Corona's. It has its unique "flavor" to it -- it is definately different than "Feeding Frenzy" with Jimmy being "older and wiser" now. I think the song selection was perfect, even though I like the new album "Beach House on the Moon", I'm glad he did not include any of the songs from that album on this one. I have heard the Margaritaville version (with the lost verse) before on a bootleg album from the past. Also I have heard a bootleg Jimmy CD from a few years ago, and it had on it a version of Southern Cross, which I personally think was better than the version on the new Live album. Great Work Jimmy and the Coral Reefers! And to all you fellow Parrotheads out there... FINS UP!!

Review : First time through the album, I really didn't care for J.B.'s Southern Cross. I know that he has done a better version (vocally speaking). However, listened to it again and the entire album is GREAT!!! He has captured the pure parrothead essence of a J.B. concert for all to hear. Better than Feeding Frenzy and You Had To Be There. If a 10 was the high rating I'd give it a 10+ !!!!!! Thanks Jimmy!

Review : This album catches everything that makes the live shows what they've been the last 4 years or so. It's far, far superior to Feeding Frenzy. It's definitely live, from interactions with the crowd to Bubba "fumbling" over the opening verse to Southern Cross. Come Monday with Doyle wailing on the pedal steel was awesome. However, was it just the copy I bought or does everyone have an insert that is only 4 pages with lyrics from only 3 of the songs? Yes, I know we all know all of the lyrics to all of the songs, but it seems like my copy is missing pages. And more "phlocking" pics would be nice. Review : New Live CD is just what the doctor ordered before winter sets in. Only wish I knew where tracks were recorded. Some are obvious(Pencil Thin Mustache & Love & Luck-Alpine Valley)...some others are not. Fruitcakes: A- only wish the live version from this summer's House of Blues show made the cut. It was a keeper. Southern Cross: A- it's about time! Pencil Thin Mustache: A+ not one of my favorites..but it is now. Song Song comes alive. I can almost hear myself in the crowd.... Trying to Reason: A++ hauntingly beautiful version of an awesome song. love the vocals from Mac and PM Coconut Telegraph: B better live version than by the bay Cheeseburger in Paradise: C not much new here and disappointed that Fingers Taylor is drowned out by whomever engineered the final sound mix (Jim DeMain?) Come Monday: C+ not much new here except for Doyle doing a nice job on steel guitar Son of a Sailor: B+ nice updated live version with Nadirah sounding angelic Volcano: A- juiced up version...very different from Feeding Frenzy and By the Bay with catchy horn arrangement Brown Eyed Girl: A- finally a non-bootleg version! Tin Cup Chalice B excellent selection for the live record Fins: A- very different and much better than previous live versions. Love the horns...again disappointed in sound mix. Not enough horns or FINGERS! One Particular Harbour: A+ this is probably the one song that still pleases both the "old" Jimmy fans and the "new" Jimmy fans. A very well written song that brings out a feeling of both melancoly(sp?) and joy. Again...the horns bring a new life to this version. Robert G/Steel Drums again are drowned out by studio mixing. Margaritaville: B- Why? Why... was the Tweeter Center/Thursday Night cut used on the CD rather than the Tweeter Center/Saturday Night Version. It was the funniest and best rendition I have ever heard. "It's all you SALT people's fault" Would have rated an A- otherwise. Lost verse not included live since "You had to be There" Love & Luck: A One of my favorite songs...and I'm glad it's on the CD. Also happy the Alpine Valley version made the cut. Finally: Very Pleased. Thank You to those involved.

The new disc is great, Pencil Thin is awesome, that was recorded at Alpine in Wisconsin, and for anyone from the midwest, thats the best place to see Jimmy period. I think Jimmy has aged like wine, his voice still sounds great, as do his timely antidotes. Southern Cross and Love and Luck are the big suprises on this disc, I kinda wish he would have closed with love and luck at some of the shows I went to this summer instead of pacing the cage, oh well. Review : First of all a disappointment. After listening to the album I feel that the one thing missing is the intro at the beginning. If you listen to the first two live albums they both start with the begining of a Jimmy Buffett concert from their time. I think that it would have been awsome if the Walter Cronkite countdown that Jimmy used this year at the begining of the shows was on the begining of the album. Now on to the album itself, totally awesome!!!!! On the inside of the album cover is says that this is for the Parrotheads and all I can say is thank you Jimmy. I think the setlist was perfect and the energy level of the songs makes me feel like I am at a show. I look forward to many friday evenings on my deck listening to this album and tossing back some ice cold coronas. As for pre-show tailgating, Feeding Frenzy followed by Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays will be a perfect appetizer for the show that follows.

Review : It's fitting that Jimmy kicks off his new live record with "Fruitcakes," the song that put him back on the radio in the spring of 1994 and up into the Billboard Top Ten on the album charts. "Southern Cross" is a delight, as are the stellar album tracks "Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season," "Tin Cup Chalice" and "Love And Luck." Unfortunately, there are no 'Beach House On The Moon' tracks or anything else from the 1990s. That's a shame. Just like 1990's 'Feeding Frenzy,' there really isn't anything new on this album, seeing that Jimmy had released 'Floridays,' 'Hot Water' and 'Off To See The Lizard' the previous three years. Again, with the exception of "You'll Never Work In This Business Again," no new tracks other than some cover tunes. The "lost verse" version of "Margaritaville" isn't that worthy of the hype - if anyone out there has 1978's 'You Had To Be There,' it ain't so lost after all. But at least we get the "Salt! Salt! Salt! Salt!" input this go around. With a new record label, it makes sense to be safe and go with the hits that are the only popular tunes the Parrothead nation is familiar with. I, on the otherhand, welcome the obscure tunes over the hits anyday, as well as the recent tour for the excellent 'Beach House On The Moon' tracks. Nevertheless, it's great to hear these new recordings that have so much energy on record. If this album doesn't make you want to kick back and drink a few beers, then don't bother buying it. Four out of five stars.

Review : Went out at lunch to pick up the new CD. I had to go to two places to find it (at Best Buy) and was surprised at the very affordable cost. I loved Southern Cross and am so reminded of the summer with my shoes off on the blanket with my arms around my husband and friends swaying and singing away. You have to make new friends with all the people around you on the "lawn" to stop the kids from invading your territory. I loved "Trying to Reason" - a definite classic. I am agreeing with some of the reviews - we need a new video and I wish there was some new songs on it but I loved the CD anyway. I play it everyday on the way to work to "set myself up for the day". Any work from Jimmy is always a treasure for me. The purpose is to remind us that we all have a life outside of work in this age of more work with less people and more machines!! We have converted many in our area and this new CD will prepare them for the upcoming summer. This will help me make it through a Pennsylvania winter. See you in Camden next year. Remember - It's a jungle out there kids, Have a very fruitful day. Fins UP.

Review : It should come as no big surprise that this CD is great. Would you relly expect a Jimmy Buffett live CD not to be. I like most people who have submitted reviews would have liked to have seen a different selection of songs but if he really wanted to make us all happy he would have needed about a 6 CD box set. Also it would have been nice to know just where all the songs were recorded. And last I want to know where "Uncle John's Band" is. With what he said at Great Woods about it being a perfect song for a live album I was a little p*** it was not included. But hey with a "Little Love & Luck" I got over it. FINS UP

Review : Like most, I was disappointed that so many of the "By Heart" songs were included, but I still really like the CD. I think it captures the energy and excitement of Jimmy's live shows without the endless talking that is fun when you're at the shows, but hard to listen to on record(see both previous live albums...how long does it take to get to "Havana" on "You Had to Be There?"). I will listen to "T,T and S" a lot. But, my main complaint would be that, with the exception of "Fruitcakes, it could've been recorded before "Feeding Frenzy!" Jimmy's post-box set resurgence has been very pleasing to me but I wish he had better represented it on the CD. Why not "Gumbo" instead of "Cheeseburger," or "Schoolboy Heart" instead of "Fins"...I could go on, but you get my drift. I'm looking right at 40 now and I grew in Miami where in the mid-to-late 70s I saw Jimmy in many times and venues. I love the old stuff too, but I think a live CD should better represent an artist's evolution, no "Pascagoula" or "Lage," and "Semi-true Stories" is one of his best ballads ever(even if he didn't write it!). Okay, off to lsten to the new CD again, I really do like it!

Review : Jimmys' music is always, always best live. i think this is the best live album to date. great selection of tunes. Trying to Reason With a Hurricane, and Tin Cup for a Chalice are awesome. I keep playing them over and over. I have heard a different "lost verse" on Margaritaville and would have liked it here! Just a great selection of tunes! A couple of things I thought could have been done better: Into's are tacked onto the ends of the track, hard to tell what city he is talking about. And I don't like the cardboard sleeve. I know enviornmentaly it is better but I still don't like it! Fin's Up!

Review : I Was lucky enough to be able to go to Margaritaville in Orlando the night the album was released. I was there at Midnight and the first to buy the Album in the Margaritaville store. The Landsharks were great, i traveled far (seattle) and it was worth it. i have not stopped playing the album since i bought it. it has no doubt worn my Cd player thin. The songs are great and they make you feel like you are right there. WAY TO GO JB. You have my backing all the way. No complaints from this Parrothead. Fins up, Tim

Review : Once again, Jimmy has transported us to a better place , if only for awhile, with "Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays"... Right off the bat with "Fruitcakes" to the upbeat, and so true "Love and Luck", Jimmy shines again.. I listen to this record and imagine 20 or so friends and Jimmy in my backyard, enjoying life.. To us old timers, this strengthens our belief that he's "family", to the new ones on-board, take a listen to the happiness and welcome!!

Review : Well, to begin with, what's a Buffett concert CD without some old "Songs you know..." classics huh? Ya gotta have them! I think the clarity and selections were great. However, there's NO reason why this couldn't have been a double live set. He easily has enough other "newer greatest hits" that true Parrotheads would love to hear recorded live... I will play for gumbo, bank of bad habits, lage nom ai, only time will tell, etc. 64 minutes doesn't do him justice. If he's got Southern Cross and Brown-eyed girl, where's Mexico? Anyway, I still give an "A" for recording and sound quality and a solid "B+" for song selections and length. Hey, maybe he's gonna put out a greatest hits II(86-99)! What is up with the CD sleeve anyway? Speaking of up... FINS UP! Scott

Review : I being the parrothead that I am had a hard time waiting for Nov. 9 to get here, but it was worth the wait. I was at the Sept. 2 concert at Greatwoods...err the Tweeter Center so it was a special treat to have three songs from that night on the CD. Therefor Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays will be a treasured part of my extensive Buffett collection. As far as live albums go Feeding Frenzy is still the best, but it is great to have some of the lesser played songs on this CD. By the way I purchased the CD at my local Target store for the measly sum of $9.96.

Review : Well, I just read all of these reviews. Yes, certain songs probably should have been included, yes the packaging leaves something to be desired and yes I'd like the locations to be clearer. BUT I'm in New Hampshire, its about 20 degrees out now and this CD makes it seem a whole lot more tropical around here !!!!!! As several of you said I get chills listening to certain tracks, remembering the 2 shows at the Tweeter Center this summer! A GREAT ALBUM, good addition to the collection, they are all good and each has its own character !!!! Off to West Palm in a few weeks for the Coral Sky shows ( 3nd row center tix )and a little trip down A1A !!!!

Review : As a Californian who was left out of the tour this Fall, this CD was awesome. I think the selection of songs is great. For a live album to be worth anything, it should try to mimic a live concert, so there need to be some SYKBH on the CD. While I thought each song sounded great the highlights were: Fruitcakes, a great choice to open with. Southern Cross, its about time. Son of A Son of A Sailor, with Nadirah was outstanding. Tin Cup Chalice, great to hear the old stuff, especially for a newer PH like me. One Particular Harbour, and finally Love and Luck, which maybe the best track on here in my opinion. Only suggestions: Next time, a double CD with 22-25 songs. Give us a whole shows worth of music, Jimmy! We need it. And, I must agree with others who say Cheeseburger has lost some appeal. Gumbo would be a great alternative if we need a food song in there somewhere. Otherwise two fins up, a great CD! See you on Kinja, live as pearls not oysters.

Review : Since I didn't get to see JB in concert this summer, this CD fulfills my "fix" to listen to Jimmy "Live". Since tickets are getting so hard to come by, a "live" album is the second best substitute. Southern Cross is done spectacularly by the Reefers and is a favorite, also, the early tunes, Pencil Thin Moustache, Tin Cup Chalice, Tryin' to Reason with Hurricane Season, and Son of a Son of a Sailor sound as if Jimmy really enjoyed going back and doing them again. They never get old. Love and Luck is a tune I've never heard before, but what a fantastic way to end a record! Rating: A Little Better than Feeding Frenzy (Live 1990)

Review : The record sounds good and is worth getting for the nice live versions of "Hurricane Season," "Tin Cup Chalice" and "Love and Luck." I also like SOASOAS with Nadirah's vocals in the "lady from Trinidad" verse. Of course, as a long-time fan I feel that songs like "Come Monday," "Volcano" and "One Particular Harbour," repeated from the last live album, should have been substituted for less-played material like "Ringling Ringling," "Caroline Street," "Cuban Crime of Passion," or several others. Also, it would have been nice to end the CD with a second-encore solo version of a ballad like "Banana Republics" or "Defying Gravity." All in all, there are some things in the record to please Buffett's hardcore fans, and a lot that cater to the casual concert-going type. Maybe that's the idea.

The version of Southern Cross is great, no matter what soe people have said about this song or others on the album, people, it's a live album, it's going to sound alittle funny, remember it's not done in a studio, thats the cool part about JB'S live albums, it's like summer all over again. Review : I loved this album. Much better than "Feeding Frenzy". I was at some of the concerts that he recorded some of the songs and they sounded better on CD. Great job with the sound editing. Loved Nadirah Shakoor on SOASOAS. She sounded great. Great addition to an already great song( one of my personal favorites). I would have loved to hear more songs from Fruitcakes, Banana Wind, and Beachhouse on the Moon but I am pleased with the songs any way, like a true "Parrot Head" should be. I mean what would a concert album be like without Fins, Volcano, and Margaritaville on it. Not a true Jimmy Buffett concert album. I would like to conclude in saying on a rank of 1 to 10, this album is a 9, only due to a lack of new songs.

Review : Pencil Thin Mustache- I think this version is as good as it gets. Loved the crowd participation. Cheeseburger In Paradise- Sounds just like Feeding Frenzy version. Come Monday- Jimmy sounds better than ever. Always a crowd favorite. Son Of A Son Of A Sailor- Fingers Taylor sounds great on the harmonica. And Nadirah Shakoor sings the " And the lady she hails from Trinidad".... verse and does a wonderful job. Volcano- Always brings me up from a bad day. Fins- Best version I have ever heard and i've been to 12 concerts. One Particular Harbor- Makes me think of my summer boating days on Lake Michigan. Riding the waves and wastin away. Margaritaville- LOVED IT! Includes the salt, salt, salt chant and the lost verse. Overall I loved it. Im kinda dissappointed that Pirate Looks At Forty and Gypsies in the Palace wasn't recorded.

Review : Once again Jimmy has released an album that we Parrotheads could not live without. Despite the absence of "A Pirate Looks at 40" along with "Why Don't We Get Drunk?", I think the CD is a smashing hit. The version of Brown Eyed Girl is one that I really enjoyed. The bit at the end makes it the CD's best track along with Southern Cross. I don't mean to offend you Jimmy becasue these happen to be both of the songs that are not yours, you just make them better if you know what I mean. Fruitcakes as the opener set the tone for the CD which I played in the parking lot last night at the CSU vs. Air Force game. Before we knew it, our caravan had 50 people around us dancing praying that the Buffett spring tour would include Colorado. Have all of you parrotheads ever noticed that when you don't get that dose of a Buffett show by a certain time of the year you get a little cranky? Anyway, if you love Buffett this is a must buy and if you don't you are crazy and untrustworthy. E-mail me if you all want, take care.

Southern Cross is great (although Jimmy stumbles over the first verse, but it just gives it a more live feel to it), so is brown eyed girl. My favorite song on the album is Love and Luck, it finishes the Album well. On the whole this is a great album, and i recomend to all parrotheads. Fins UP!!

Review : I would and probably will love any Buffett album ever made, and this is no exception. As did "You Had To Be There" and Feeding Frenzy", this live Buffett takes you back to the warm summer days of Coranas, chiquitas, and classic tunes, perfect for the upcoming winter. Great to hear "Tryin' to Reason..." and "Tin Cup Chalice" (nice swingy/jazz touch-up). "Schoolboy Heart" is my favorite in concert; it comes off so well live I wish it was included. "Southern Cross" and "Love and Luck", though, go a long way towards reminding me of why it is I go to several shows each year; there simply is no better way to enjoy a summer evening than a Buffett show. Great album, great tunes, and a great time this summer. Phins Up for the winter !!!!

Great CD!!! A couple of weeks after I purchased
it I saw the December 4th concert in New Orleans.
It had been a couple of years since I saw Jimmy in
concert, and he seems to get better with age. It has been worth the wait for this CD, it fit with
the concert like a glove. His voice seems to fit
his songs better each year.

I love live albums and this one definatly didn't
disapoint! The only problem with this album is
that we all tend to want to hear "that one song"
and unfortunatly ther is no way to fit all those
"one songs" on just one disk. So I say Jimmy due a
Live Box Set next time. I think it is about time
that we have all the classic Buffett live... not
just the ten or so songs that everbody knows by
heart.

Love & Luck

Great album, especially like Fruitcakes and Southern Cross finally on a live album. Quite possibly the best version of "Son Of A Sailor" I have ever heard. There were a few things I was disappointed with. One, Fruitcakes is the only "New" song from the 90's on the album. Two, "A Pirate Looks At 40" is not on this album. And Three, I dont like the cardboard cover he has made for this album. Mine already got wet and was destroyed! Oh Well....

I really enjoy this live album since no less than 4 of the songs were recorded at Great Woods!! Then, for the icing on the cake, I played the video and found that it, too, was shot in Massachusetts AND at *MY* show,(Sat 9/2)!!! (The songs were all from the 8/31 Thurs show)
I do have to agree, however, that the cardboard case stinks!! I put the disc in a jewel case so as not to ruin either IT by taking it in and out of the sleeve, or the cardboard case itself. DSTC was in cardboard too, but at least the cd was easier to remove. Now, I hear that later releases were put out in traditional plastic cases. Hopefully, Mailboat records has learned a lesson and will ONLY do plastic in the future.

Damn, it would have been sooo much more convenient if they were all in a jewel case...tough to drive and take it out of that sleeve at the same time.

This live album is great! I thought the sound quality was superb for a live recording and Jimmy...Bubba sounded energetic and entertaining. Decent selection of songs, but really hoped it would have at least 20-24 songs like an average concert would. Can't get the freak'n CD-rom to play that extra feature at the end though...now, I know, it's my own damn fault...
