Tailgating in Chicago?

What?!? This can't be true....I'm hearing that Tweeter Center does not condone tailgating, and will not open the gates until 3 hours before the event. This is inhumane, and certainly not in Parrothead-style.....does anyone have an alternative tailgate site? Please advise.

Calm...breathe...it's o.k. phriend! Many of us have heard the same things you have, but others suggest that the Tweeter Center has lightened up a lot about tailgating over the past few years. The word is though, that gates don't open until 3pm. There is also a thread going right now about "Tailgreat" on 6/22 going on at a nature preserve near the venue. The Chicago Parrothead club is holding this tailgating alternative. Check it out here if you are interested:

A Nature Preserve for ParrottHead tailgatin' in Chicago????

I guess tailgatin' has been put on the endangered list in Chicago and needs a preseve to protect it.... WOW

I just hope they don't get any crazy ideas in Atlanta...

Hello phriends....

Going to my first Chicago show 6/22....my 4th show of the season, then on to Boston, Irvine and back home to San Diego. Looking forward to hooking up with any Chicago phans, have rum in possession...look for the rented SUV with California plates "PIRET40"...please keep posting tailgate info...

SD- There's lot of info on Chicago (June 22) tailgating in the Jimmy Buffett Discussion...It's got a list of those of us who post on this board that are going...we are trying to find ways to meet up too!
