We are travelling from Toronto to riverbend for our 2nd concert. The first was last year at Great Woods. Any tips for us friendly Canadians? What time can we start the tailgating festivities?

As early as you get there. Park in the field across from the place..... not in the paved lot.

Yes, I've arrived at 10:00 AM and the festivities have already begun in alot of areas. By noon it's usually wall to wall partying. Any of the lots you park in will be fun with the exception of Riverbend Concert parking area where they strictly enforce no tailgating. The Riverdowns horse track parking lot, the grassy lot across the street and the small cliffside parking area all will be jumping.

Thanks a million. I can't wait for another great party! I think we are planning to drive into Cincy on the monday and stay through the wednesday - know of any other sights we might want to take in while we are there?

Definitely check out the RV parking across from the paved lot. That is where all the great party action takes place.

I have been to the riverbend show 5 times now but I have never tailgated. Where is the best place to hook up with a good tailgating party. We are bringing up around 15-20 people. My friends that tailgate every year used to go to the fenced in parking lot that is much smaller now.

Anyone have any idea if they frown on camping out overnight in the parking lots around there? If I hang out there all day I really won't be driving. I am hoping I can pitch my tent there and no one will scream at me.

"know of any other sights we might want to take in while we are there?"

Hey!

First time posting btw... Enjoying the baord so far...

Coney Island and riverdowns race track are all in the same area as riverbend. I don't believe the horses run at the track during the week (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Coney Island is open though. THey have a great pool, a nice picnic area, and a few amusment park type rides. You could easily blow a few hours there if you have some time to kill.

Coney Island Park has over 50 rides, the Sunlight pool, water slides, sells beer and has one of the nations largest recirculating pool. Inside Coney Island you will find volley ball nets and puttputt golf. Some rides and some eats like Skyline Chili and Larosas pizza.

Looking forward to the Cincy concert, but I just got on the Riverbend website and read this:

NO GLOW WANDS, NECKLACES OR BRACELETS!!!

You may bring in:
Beachballs & Inflatable sharks

No blankets, coolers, or lawn chairs? What the? And they seem energetic about the no glow necklaces. Are these restrictions going to be overlooked or will the Riverbend staff be checking?
