I made a promise to myself several years back that I would see Buffett at Lakewood every year he plays, no matter what. As a result, my wife and I will start driving from NY City the Thursday night before the show.
Can wait to see you all there.

Coming in from Tennessee. The 2 of us would like to find somewhere to do some tailgating. We will bring plenty of beer and goodies. I am a veteran (6 shows in the past year) but I have a virgin with me and want to break her in right. Any hospitality would be greatly appreciated. It would also be nice to put some faces with all of the BN names. Thanks.

Well, chwing... It's kinda hit and miss as to when the parkin' lots will open. For a long while i would get there at 8-9 am. Then one year we got there at 9am and they wouldn't let us in till 11. So, the next year I got there at 9 again only to find out that they were letting people in a 6amOn 2002-06-16 20:31, ckwing wrote:
We are coming down from North Carolina with a white cargo van with a dance floor and a tiki bar up top. Does anyone know what time is safe to arrive? We have quite a bit of set up time and want to get there as soon as possible. 13 more days!!!!!!
So, your guess is as good as mine. I would recommend as early as possible. If they don't let us in we can just start a line and start the tailgatin' there. One year we had so many cars in line that it was backed onto the road and the cops made them open the lot to get us out of the way....
Hope to see ya there....
12 more days!!!!!!

Thanks, Scarlett. I won't be in an RV, but I'll be there just the same. I was also thinking of bringing some bags of sand and a baby pool. I heard that sometimes a firetruck will come around in the morning and fill up all of the little swimming pools. Has anyone else heard of this at Lakewood? 10 more days, can't wait.

One year, Early in the mornin' while I was settin' up, I heard over a loud speaker someone singin' WDWGDAS.... I looked up and it was a Fulton Co. Ladder Truck. They filled everyones pool and let people drive the ladder part around the parkin' lot.On 2002-06-18 16:11, jbfins wrote:
