Last time JB played at Lakewood (or Hi-Fi Buys, I hate corporate names) the Atlanta PH Club got to come in the night before. Most of the best spots were taken.

We arrived around 8:30 or 8:45am and there were already alot of people there. Still plenty of room but it filled up fast. You shouldn't have a problem finding a spot at 10:00am but you'll probably end up on the far side of the lot. After 12:00pm you'll really be pushing your luck, especially since there isn't a Thursday show this year.

Good luck and have a blast!

Addition to the previous message: I found out tonight that both the front lot and back lot will be open for tailgating this year. Last time the front lot was taken up by some kind of antiques sale/conference.

As many already know, the front lot is paved so if you have a shaded spot you're okay but otherwise it gets pretty hot. The back lot is larger and is dirt/gravel instead of pavement.

I just want to say that I cannot wait for this. I am going to loose my sh!t when we pull into the gates at Lakewood.

I'll be there...

And jbfins - I know all about that. At the Ft. Lauderdale show last year, my parents, my brother and I were all sitting in the nosebleeds behind the stage. Luckily, my brother and I scored two fifth row tix (behind the stage but who cares) from a guy outside of the arena. We moved down there for the 2nd set and there was this drunk guy, like 350 pounds, who was just as "friendly" as could be.

Drunk people are fun.

BTW - I'm coming down from Clayton, GA (Where grandpa lives - Parents had to make it a faily vacation) Anywho, After arriving, we have to check into our hotel (Some Doubletree) and eat (Can't go party on an empy stomach I guess).... What time should we arive at the latest? I was thinking 5:00 but then again I'm an idiot.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... get back to me. Time is of the essence.

I got the info about the front lot at the last Parrot Head Club happy hour. I can't remember a single year that the word about when the gates would open was very accurate. It always seems to be either a long line at the gate or security just opens them whenever they feel like it.

We plan to get there at 8:00am (maybe even a little earlier) no matter the case. Like you said earlier, Cuervo, once a long line forms they'll have to open the gates to keep traffic moving. Power to the phlockers!:-)

Can't wait for Saturday to get here. Hope to meet some of y'all!

I have an acquaintance who works at HiFi Buyy (Lakewood) and I emailed her about parking lot opening times, she said 10AM. The security guards may decide to open before then but it won't be any later than 10!

Saturday's my birthday, nice of Bubba to perform for me!

Another of the Buffett faithful called Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater (what a concept!) and was told that you must have a ticket in hand to park in the lot. The logic is that if you have paid for a ticket you have also paid to park and vice-versa.

Here's an idea, should we try to put something on our tents/RV's/persons to recognize a BN member and say hello? I'm all about trying to put something out there if we can agree on it.

Also, please forgive my computer ignorance (I've checked the FAQ, etc.) but how in the world do you put pictures, etc. under your name in the left column? Thanks.

How serious is this ticket thing to get into the parking lot? I was just planning on getting some out there and if I can't, then just party until the crowd lets out. I am going to have a serious problem if we have to have a ticket. Please let me know!!!!!

I don't know what they're thinkin' with the ticket thing. What 'bout the people that are meetin' their parties there that maybe holding there ticket. I will be holding tickets for friends that are meeting me there. I will raise TOTAL H*LL if they don't let them in.
It's just pure crap. I'm sure if enough people come up and don't have tickets and start to cause a traffic problem they won't have any thing to do. Are they going to ticket everyone in the vehicle(i.e. RVs)
Oh well, we'll see what happens.
