Side bar on the tickets to get into the parking lot....
What would they say if you had your tickets at the Box office at Will Call????They would have to let you in. Just a thought..

They did the ticket checking thing for his last show in Hartford. It didn't work the way they had it planned, but cars full of people and not one ticket to show did get turned away. I think the group just went to another parking lot.

Just got this - new rules for Lakewood this year.

Greetings Club Leaders,
I just got off of a conference call with Lakewood and they have a few items that need to be mentioned to make the parking lot run smoothly and safely.
** The parking lot will open between 10am and 11am on Saturday, there will be no overnight camping allowed in the parking lots Friday or Saturday night.
** RV's- they are allowing motor homes this year, however they can only be in the dirt lot, not the paved lot (Pryor St.). You will be directed where to go.
** Large elaborate set ups- due to space limitations, we are all asked to limit our decoration areas. Behind or in front of your car, not 3 parking spaces.
** Pools- They are allowing us to have small inflatable pools, however they will be in a separate area. As with the motor homes you will be directed where to go.
** No large scaffolding construction equipment or cranes for displays.
** We can have beer, but be discreet and make sure it is in cans, NO KEGS OR GLASS BOTTLES!!!!!, and please keep all trash in trash bags.
** There will be a zero tolerance policy for obnoxious drunkenness, or violence.
** NO SAND!!!!!! This is very costly to clean up and lasts for months.
** Cars only in the Pryor St. (paved) lot.

I know this sounds restrictive but it is really not. They are allowing us in early, and letting us have our fun like we're used to having, BBQ's, boat drinks, pools, and the usual festivities. The Atlanta Parrothead Club has a great relationship with Lakewood, and they will continue to allow us in early if we all can abide by a few simple rules. Thanks and we will see you all in the show.

T minus 1 day and counting. In fact, I am leavin today after work and arrive in Hotlanta late this evening. Probly won't be sober enuf to drive my rental to the hotel about 5 miles away. My point is this-will u guys bail me out before the show if I get thrown in the pokey? NOT!!!!! Cuervo, see you Friday evening at the Mac show. Just look for the old fart stawin when he walks.

I'm drivin in Sat morning will be there before noon if youa re paked and plan on sleeping hide all your JB stuff cause I WILL wake up strangers with tequilla shots, so if you are fortunate to wake that way don't start fighting.

Yes, there are porta-potties. The lines get pretty long as the day wears on and it wouldn't hurt to bring your own roll of toilet paper.

WEll IT's 3:35 Am And Myself and LittleMamaLove have just rolled out-a-bed and are getting ready to head to the Airport, I havent been this Excited about being up at 3:30 in a long time. We are heading down from Chattown, TN tomorrow for our 16 show (2 this year) and looks like it will be an interesting day. My friends have built a Tiki Bar for the tailgate party and have come up with a pretty neat little set-up. On the menu this year will be
marinated shrimp and tuna to start with, then some filet mignon and vegetables for our main dish. Of course we will have snacks and other goodies. It should be a great time! Maybe the rain will hold off too. We are also taking a small generator to mix margaritas and daiquiris. It sounds like a good time. We plan to arrive around 1 p.m. and party hearty.

Me too. We were right in front of the gates we got there so early. They(Parkin' Attendants) kind of has us blocked off from all the foot traffic so it wasn't easy to find plus the flags were kind of droopy from the lack of wind......
O well, we'll try again next time....

Well, just got back from a week in New Orleans. Atlanta was one heck of a party. Cuervo, glad we could get together. Hope we can do it again. For everyone who stopped by the white van with the dance floor and tiki bar up top, hope everyone had a good time. We are looking forward to doing it again and making it even better!!
