Howdy Phreinds, I got tix for the show in atlanta for my wife and myself but we have never been to ATl. I sure could use some suggestions on what to do and where to stay. Since the transist system is so good i do not think we will rent a car so we need to stay at a hotel that is close to the trains, Also without a car we have no one and no way to tailgate before the show,BOOHOO. Any offers and suggestions would be greatly appreciated, oh yea its my wife's first buffett show so I want it to be a special time all the way around, from hotel to party. Thanks land locked in a sea wheat.

BDL - If you want to stay near the transit system (MARTA Train) you will be limited to the Airport area, Downtown (the big high rise hotels), or the Lenox Square area. The big hotels downtown are the Hyatt Regency, Westin Peachtree Plaza, Marriott Marquis, Hilton & Ritz Carlton. Most of these are rather pricey (I think). The hotels by the airport are probably a better deal, but I can't remember what they are - mostly chains I think. The airport area is also closer to the Amphitheater. This might be something to consider, since you'll have to take a cab to the concert (MARTA doesn't go there).

Don't know how long you'll be in town, but here are a few points of interest & fun things to do: Centennial Olympic Park, World of Coca Cola, High Museum of Art - all are accessible by MARTA Train. If you can get a bus or cab - Stone Mountain Park is definately a fun place - can easily spend an entire day - and don't miss the laser show - about 9:00PM - shines on the face of the mountain & animated to music - very cool!!!

Definately go the the World of Coke. It is awesome!!! As a fellow midwesterner (oklahoma), I can say that you will be impressed with it. All of Atlanta is really cool.
