I just won some tickets to the Nissan show off of ebay a little while ago. I got 4 lawn tickets for $210, which i thought was very inexpensive and it also raised some concerns as to why they are so cheap. I am going to pay the guy in person, but was wondering if anybody out there could let me know as to what to look for on the ticket to make sure it is not fake. Or if anybody has been screwed over by counterfeit tickets in the past. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SHOW!!!

Robbie, sorry I can't help you, except to put your thread back at the top so that maybe somebody who knows the answer will be more likely to see it.

Hope to see you there!

I would look at the front to see if there was a barcode label and a long id number, then at the back, there should be a long red code number, printed twice, and if the tickets were bought together, the numbers will be sequential on each ticket.

Actually, that price isn't really cheap. You didn't get ripped off, (we payed $50 ourselves through the ticket exchange) but that price is still above face value, even with TM fees figured in. Chances are your tickets are good. It's getting pretty close to showtime, so people are getting antsy about unloading the extra tickets. This close to a show a $10 profit looks a lot better than a $40 loss!

Look for us in the parking lot. We built a tiki bar over the weekend! We'll be the one with the margaritaball on top. Stop by for a drink!

Check the guys feedback. See if he's sold others tickets in the past and if they have had any problem. I have bought and sold Buffett tix in the past on ebay and have had not problem because I only deal with people who have lots of feedback and little or no negative feedback. And yeah, considering many of the tickets I sold a few months ago on ebay, you got a very good price. It pays to wait. Also, email the guy and see if by chance he has the receipt. If he originally bought those tix, he should have a receipt. Worst case scenario, get his tag # when you do the transaction. If it goes bad at least you can call the police and have them run his tags and press charges? Just some ideas, good luck, see you at the show!
