Fingers Taylor on the Eastern Shore

I know there have been some great shows in the past coupla years,
but I haven't been to one yet.

I live within driving distance of Virginia's eastern shore and I feel
like I ought to make the trip next time the harp man plays down there.

Who has been to the show and how would you describe it?

bravedave: In a word.....GO! We were there this past weekend and it was awesome. This was our second year in a row. Last year Fingers was also there and so was the Sauce Boss. This year, Fingers and Utley played with the Island Boys. Personally, I think they played too much Buffett (Margaritaville/Cheeseburger/etc) and not enough Fingers. The best part was after the show, Fingers and Utley stayed around for about an hour and there weren't a lot of people crowded around them so we had a lot of time to chat. My converstion with Utley was mainly geared around the No-Club-Trini-Show-Blues. My husband scored an original copy of Mad Music a few months ago so we had that signed. Your experience is exactly what I was hoping to hear.
Anybody else care to weigh in with similar (or contrasting) stories?

Here in Michigan we are fortunate that we get to see Fingers play on a fairly regular basis. Sometimes with a tropical Buffett-type band, sometimes with a blues band. Either way, it is always a great show.

Fingers is usually very approachable for a chat or autographs. Although ...I think he may be a little weary of being asked when he is going back with Jimmy.

I don't know when I'm going to go, but I pray he keeps showing up each year. I'll get there someday, with any luck.
