I've been trying to remember all the places I've seen JB, let me see if I have them all:
1. Jones Beach - 8 (1988, 1993-1998 & 2000; he didn't play the beach in 1999 & 2001), #9 will be Aug. 27
2. Madison Square Garden - 3 (1998, 1999 & 2001)
3. The Today Show - 2 (1999 & 2001)
4. Las Vegas - 4 (twice in 2000 & twice this year)
5. Manassas - 2 (2001 & 2002)
6. Pittsburgh - 1 (2001), with another one coming up Aug. 20
7. West Palm Beach - 1 (2001)
8. Ft. Lauderdale - 1 (2002)
9. Nashville - 1 (2002)
10. Atlanta - 1 (2002)
I celebrated my birthday at 2 of these concerts. The Vegas show in April, 2000 was on my birthday and this year's Nashville show was 2 days before I hit the big 5-0.

15 plus
My ticket stubs say 11......but I know there are more. At least 15 total.
I live 10 minutes from Merriweather so I've only been there and Nissan.
So it should be 12 @ Merriweather
3 @ Nissan
The highlight probably being the '98 Carnival show @ Merriweather when my girl and I got to be Hula winners. We really didn't have to do anything to "win", we were on the back deck pre-showing and talking to some of the people we know that work with the band and they asked us if we wanted to and of course we said "Oh hell yeah!"
Man, did this bring back memories! Now I want a margarita! LOL

Question: "And now Kenny Chesney has recorded a beach album." Jimmy's Answer: "It's flattering. Some people say I should be p*** off about it but I'm really not. It's the highest form of flattery, and I'm fine with it."

Was that at the Orange Bowl and Bubba opened for The Eagles? My first was in Fla in '77. It's been a loooong time and my memory is clouded by Columbian goods fresh off the boat. (it was the seventies, pholks!!)
15 or so concerts since then. Indy and Alpine should throw me into the next category.

YES It was the '70's and all I have are the good memories. The '77 show was in Lakeland on 4/2/77 just after Margaritaville and CIA was released. The concert was actually a two day music festival called "Sunfest" (I think) and had Orleans, Ozark Mt daredevils and many bands I cant remember, but it was billed as Jimmy Buffetts Sunfest and he was the headliner. I do remember seeing the Eagles at Tampa Stadium in '76, but unfortunately missed the Eagles '77 tour with Buffett.

Sorry, I was out of the office, and just checked this thread again. I am only 27 and started back in '93 @ Buckeye Lake, (what a way to start!!!) so my virgin phins were broken in the right way!!! A majority of the shows I saw were in '96 and '97--- ah, the college road trips! I have the standing rule with myself and work---If the show is within a three state radius, I will be there...

Man I wish I had kept ticket stubs from the very first, but who knew it would turn into this? But it would probably total between 90 and 100. And I think that's a pretty good total for a "Left Coast PH."
I was always amazed at the number of young people I met on the "Right Coast" that went to 15 to 20 in a year. That's simply not heard of out on the Left Coast.
I'm pretty sure I hold the record of being the only PH to go to all the concerts of a Tour Season, and that was 42 shows during BHOTM. And if you count those and a few on either end, I think I actually went to about 46 or 47 in a row.
It was really cool to compare all the different venues and how PH's differ by geographical locations. If anyone is interested, I've been running a short version of my tour diary over on JimmyDOTcom http://www.jimmydotcom.com
I'd be very interested to get some feed back on it and my quest to write a second PH Book about my travels. Would PH's be interested in reading a stroy of my travels? It would include an expanded diary, venue comparison, Right Coast PH's vs. Left Coast PH's, the music from guys like Sunny Jim, Hugo Duarte, St. Somewhere, and Jim Morris that I listened to on the road, and stories on all the in-between shows that I attended. I'd also have a pretty meaty chapter on all of the Reefers and the Road Crew.
The way I see it, it was the last "full" tour. Jimmy has been cutting back ever since then. Plus it was the last tour Fingers played on. I'm hoping people might be interested in reading it. Let me know. Plus if anyone has any other ideas of what they'd like to see in it, let me know that too.

My mind is a little fuzzy, but I have only missed one concert in Portland since 1978. He came every year for about 10 years, and then every other year for the next 10 or so. Hasn't been here since '98, so it has been four LONG years since we have had our fix.
I am sure this year will be "a pleasure and a hell of an evening."
