Fins from the North...

Post by coblejohnson »

This October 5th will be my 6th feeding frenzy to date. I have seen Dr. B on the East Coast (Manassas VA.) all the way to San Jose CA. Last year my crew attended that San Jose Show on (of all days) St. Patricks Day. Now I know that you are thinking... Buffett + St. Pats = Perfect oppertunity to get drunk and screw (...around anyways). Sorry to report that the San Jose Mounted Police were writing tickets to everyone with open containers and those special ingredients for that frozen concoction. Needless to say it was an awesome show, even Club Trini paid a visit to us tailgaters. The bar inside was nice but mucho $$$.

This year we are making the 400+ mile commute to enjoy him (and the tailgate gathering) in Irvine CA. (resources report that the Parrot heads know what to do there) So look for us in our Red 2001 Dodge Landshark and possibly hosting some RC Landshark races... V

Post by Mr. G »

Does anyone know which hotels near Irvine shows that parrotheads may be staying? I look forward to partying with many of you at the show.

Hotel in Irvine

Post by Jollyman »

We've got a group staying at the Atrium Hotel in Irvine. We did the San Diego show last weekend but there's nothing like Irvine. This marks my 12th show at Irvine. It's a mini "Mardi Gras"!!!!

Enjoy~

Last show of tour

Post by boatdrinker »

I think this is the last show of the tour. To commerate this I hope that Jimmy adds one song to a second encore. I think it shoud be "Lovely Cruise".

Jimmy - I hope you get a chance to read this! I'll be there and loving every minute.

The She-crab and I are staying at the Comfort Inn-Laguna Hills (for the sixth tour out of the last 7).
Funny, but we've never partied "after hours" with the dozens of other parrotheads that stay there.

Call me crazy, but I've never had the desire to overdo the buzz I've caught at the show by staying up until "daylight-thirty" after 5+ hours in the pre-show party and an end-of-tour show at Irvine.

Catch up to me in the lot before the show...I'll happily offer you something for your thirst.

Hey bamafan - I know what you mean, but my usual West Coast show is the first 3 songs (I've quit after The Weather is Here, I Wish I Were Sleeping) but I hope to make it to intermission tonight (I did have to work today). Here's wishing everybody a great show!

Can anyone tell me a good program for spilting up songs when you record the show? I've found a website that has some old performances and would like to get a couple, but i don't know how to split songs! Any help would be great! :D
