i have been purchasing my concert tix online thru them for a few years now, and thankfully have never had a problem...until now...
on june 10, i was able to get 2 tickets for some nice seats for the jones beach show. my intent was to mail them to my recently married cousin and her new husband, who are buffett-virgins.
after completing my online transaction and getting a confirmation for my order, i informed my cuz about the plans i made for them and told them to plan on goin to the show!
a few weeks later, i visited the TM website, to check on the status of my order, and much to my shock, read that the tickets had been printed and mailed the day i purchased them! (in the past, this process usually took a week or two or three...)i was especially horrified by the fact that these tickets had yet to be delivered.
i let another week go by, still had not recieved them in the mail, so i called their customer service number. their stance was "the computer shows that they were printed and mailed. sorry!"
they did offer me the chance to request some kind of voucher, that presumably will serve as proof of purchase to the jones beach people, but i dont really trust this. ultimately, will the decision come down to a pimply-faced teenage usher, who will have to choose between the 2 people sitting there with my (stolen, misdirected, intercepted) tickets and my cousin with a piece of paper?
i have learned this lesson...use the ups shipping option...at least it is traceable!
and i am at this point considering calling my bank and making use of their on-line purchase protection program, so we'll see how that goes...

has anyone had to deal with a situation like this before?
