In my never ending thirst phor knowledge (or at least my never ending curiousity), I'm hoping someone knows the answer to this:
On the back cover of "Christmas Island," the license plate has the number 100,000 on it.
Does anyone know if it refers to anything, and if so, what???????
Thanks phrom your pal, Auntie

Auntie - I'm pretty sure that just represents the fact that Jimmy got the first license plate with that design....

Well now, that's a good question, too, CRC! We are just phull of questions, are we not? (Or maybe just phull of "it.")

Here's a question .....
In "Christmas in the Caribbean" he sings (I think) "Oh it's Bubba's birthday, Mr. Buffett's birthday TOO!"
What's up with that, is he refering to Jesus as Bubba or what?

Jesus is the son of God. We are all children of God. Therefore even you are Jesus' brother.

If I'm recalling correctly, 100,000 is the approximate number of Manatees left in the wild. I may be off by a few...

Cougie, He's referring to his own birthday, December 25th, that's Mr Buffett's birthday, too.

And Jimmy's was also known as Bubba in the "old days".

I understand all of that, I just don't understand why he says it the way he says it....

I see what you're saying, Cougie. It's redundant. I've always wondered about that too.

That is for the 100,000 manatee saved!

*BEEP* Wrong answer!
Pretty tough to SAVE 100,000 manatee when only 2000 or less exist.
But welcome to the message board anyway!

Well of COURSE there can't be a license plate that is 000,001 because that is just 1, since the zeroes don't count! Just like 2001 is the first year of this millenium, is the second year of the Twenty Hundreds. Maybe he was hoping it would sell that many copies by his Mr Bubba's birthday, Mr Buffett's birthday too.
And I am not anything to do with Christ or his son or some boat. I am your father Luke.
