What do we actually do??

Post by SouthernSeas »

Alright ParrotHeads, what do you actually do for a job? What is your position, and job description? For example: I am a general manager at an automotive care center here at the beach. We do all repairs on cars, detail work, and wash services, a "wal-mart" for the automotive care industry. Me, I make sure everything runs well, and all customers are happy and return. That is how I make my money, now how do the rest of you make your dough? I thought this post would be a good compliment to the "Buffett jobs" post.
Sunset Beach is my Margaritaville. Where there is endless beach, no time, and sunshine that seems to last forever. I know that Someday I Will.....Someday.

Currently, I am on semester break here at Syracuse University. Starting January 13th I will be a second semester senior. So does that make me a student or a professional drinker since I will be living it up rediculously in the Spring....Guess we will find out on May 11th, which is Graduation. I suppose I should graduate since that is mother's day as well. We ALL know we can't let MOM down!

What a cool thread idea!

I'm the office manager/admin assistant to the Area Vice President of a national home health agency. I ensure that all (non-clinical) aspects of the office remain operational. No-one really notices what I do until something doesn't work right (computers, fax machines, copiers, etc.), also compile and maintain a variety of reports for the VP and everything that you can imagine would go along with that job. I've been at the same job 28 years (I started when I was very, very young) and I can honestly say I've got it good. I don't have to work hard, my hours aren't too bad and I get 30 days of vacation a year (more vacation time = more Buffett shows).

I'm a retired Naval Aviator, currently working for the major airline in Atlanta training pilots, love the job. I expect to be furloughed after the first of the year and will probably return to Pensacola and train Navy flight students.
