Parrothead Bob wrote:Ouch! I was going to try and get floor seats this year. I guess not. How can they justify a $50.00 increase in one year? That is ridiculous. I guess it is our own fault, we just keep bending over and paying. This will ensure that Jimmy keeps his place in the top grossing acts of 2003. Too bad we can't get everyone to boycott once so they would keep ticket prices in line.

OK I am done with my rant :D I am still excited for the trip. And it will be well worth the money spent.

Because last year he did two shows in Vegas.

I was in Vegas for the first time ever this past week and the MGM is already promoting the s*** out of Jimmy's show. Constant commercials on local TV and the MGM Big Screen ran constant clips of Jimmy in concert.

It made me wish that July 1 and Camden was tomorrow.

Well my biggest fear came true. I was worried that the same time Buffett tickets go on sale that there would be another show as well which would cause a huge line for tickets even if a few people were just buying Buffett tickets. This happened before and you had to wait in the same line even if you were buying tickets to a different show. Well just announced that tomorrow at 10am tickets will be going on sale for this huge type Woodstock show called the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with these bands below. Not too happy right now, anyone have any ideas on how to get tickets?

Beastie Boys will headline the first night, while Red Hot Chili Peppers top the bill for the second.
Also slated to perform on April 26: Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Queens of the Stone Age, Groove Armada, Blue Man Group, N.E.R.D., the Donnas, Ladytron, Felix Da Housecat, Masters at Work, Kinky, Roger Sanchez, Darren Emerson, Talib Kweli, Peanut Butter Wolk, Badly Drawn Boy, Gomez, the Music, Hot Hot Heat, Idlewild, Ben Kweller, Amon Tobin, Joseph Arthur, Division of Laura Lee, the Mooney Suzuki and more.
Expected to join the Chili Peppers on April 27: the White Stripes, Underworld, Jack Johnson, Primal Scream, Blue Man Group, Sonic Youth, Thievery Corporation, Café Tacuba, Fischerspooner, Dirty Vegas, Deep Dish, Richie Hawtin, Timo Maas, the Mars Volta, Johnny Marr and the Healers, G. Love & Special Sauce, Rooney, Ben Folds, Tortoise, the Soundtrack of Our Lives, the Libertines, Mouse on Mars, El-P, Aesop Rock, Mr. Lif, Black Eyed Peas, the Von Bondies and more.

Wow! That's a huge festival, CB. Maybe going to the next town down the road would help?

CB- ticketmaster.com always works
We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

Actually.... I was just trying to reduce the competition.... I'm just saying, last year, there were two shows in Vegas, this year one... so it should be harder than last year. Someone said high-dollar seats were still available a while after they went on sale last year.... we'll see.....

I guess we'll know how hard they are to get in 16 or 17 hours.... I'll go TM on-line and hope it all works out! :)

Good Luck!
