This'll be my 2nd visit to the Vegas show. Staying at Hotel San Remo (no rental car). Can anyone familiar with the area help out with a stupid request?
I'm looking for a place to buy good beer at a reasonable price. The local 7-11's seem to only carry Bud, Coors & Miller.
Stayed at Excalibur last year and they wanted $12.00 for a six-pack. Don't feel like paying $48.00 for every case we go through.
Look forward to meeting fellow BN'ers there!

mgm monorail
just a FYI about those planning on taking the monorail back and forth from the MGM...this has been shut down so it can be added to the big monorail effort that is being built all around the strip...so, the convience of getting to the MGM from the middle of the stip isn't as easy as it once was. I'll be in vegas as well, and this was a great perk, but I'll have to walk or cab it from the show....see ya'll there

Go about a mile west from this Quality Inn property and you will be at one of Las Vegas' most famous intersections, surrounded by Bally's, the Flamingo, Caesars Palace, and Bellagio.

Key Largo is not on that map but if you see #24Bourbon Street on the map it is approx where the EE is in Street, only on the other side of the street.FINSUPinIdaho wrote:Help me out PHAW, where the heck is key largo? (other than florida) When we are done, we will definatley put them on that map!!!

I will be at the San Remo again this year (3rd time for Jimmy in Vegas, 14th overall) with a special friend from Northern Alberta. (just a little rendezvous in the desert we started a few years ago
). From reading these posts I'd say that Parrotheads are as passionate about their pre-party preferences as they are Buffett's music. Yeah MGM is expensive if you want to get hammered, and it sounds like Tommy Rocker's is packed, etc. etc. But one thing is for sure....If you are in Vegas on April 26, and you are a parrothead, and you are holding a ticket, and you are partying with other parrotheads, you are having one of the best times of your life. I've never been to Key Largo but will absolutely check it out this year. See ya there.

You're right St. Louise
I should stop my bitchin and be glad that I get to see Jimmy and Hang out with a bunch of Parrotheads. Where ever they are it is always fun.
