Great Woods Shows May Be Delayed - Again???????

Post by Steele1161 »

It looks like Great Woods shows may be delayed either to a later time than 10:00 or another Saturday (similiar to last year). The following show goes on sale on Saturday at 10:00. I can not see them putting both Buffett and this show on sale at the same time. Outlets will be a mess.

Justified and Stripped
Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera bring their "Justified and Stripped" tour-de-force to the FleetCenter on August 5, 2003 at 7:30pm. Tickets are expected to go on sale Saturday, March 8 at 10:00am. Christina Aguilera co-wrote and co-produced her latest album "Stripped," which is already certified double platinum. Justin Timberlake co-produced and co-wrote his solo 2X platinum debut "Justified."

Forget it. Ticketmaster has decided to make it a mess and put both shows on sale. Buffett is already listed on TM.

And it is listed as an 8 ticket limit per person as opposed to the 4 ticket limit last year. Unless they change this this means less people will get tickets on Saturday but more will be available on eBay .

It's so weird because Pittsburgh has a 6 ticket limit! I know that's a popular show, but I would say not nearly as hard to get tickets to as Great Woods, so why are they limiting it to 6 for Pittsburgh and 8 for Great Woods? Just doesn't make any sense, but I guess we're talking about Ticketmaster here....I shouldn't be surprised.

The 8 Ticket limit will be changed to 4. I think they have not noticed that yet. Usually those limits get changed a few days before they actually go on sale.

I called Great Woods info line, it mentions nothing about the shows, TM on line states this event no longer exists in our data base. I wonder if they changed the show dates (big golf doin'that weekend down the street) or a venue change. Just because I took Saturday off to get tix, JEEZ

I just got off the phone with the VP of Ticket Master and she wanted me to tell everyone here at BN that tickets for Jimmy's Great Woods Shows do go on sale this Saturday, but not until 4:00 PM EST. Please make sure that you pass this info on to anyone that you think might get in my way at 10:00 AM this Saturday morning... errr... I mean... anyone that might try and get tickets when they really could be doing something else.

Hey, I like that. Tell everyone 4 PM. Just be sure they don't check out the Tweeter Center web site, which finally lists the shows:

They just posted the Fleet Show for 10:00 on TM:Christina Aguilera - Justin Timberlake.

I am hoping TM has the smarts to move the on sale time. With 2 more Bruce Springsteen shows at Giants Stadium going on sale at 9:00. Forget the outlets, the phones lines will also be a disaster.

Tweeter Center - Mansfield

Post by cbasse71 »

I've been following the discussion here...seems like "ticket frustration" is swinging into full force!

Can anyone confirm that the tickets for the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA are going on sale on Saturday? I see other Tweeter Center dates listed on TicketMaster (New Jersey) that are on sale this weekend, but nothing about Mansfield. Any help is appreciated!

I braved the cold last year and was one of about 20 to get tickets at the box office - hopefully I'll be in Margaritaville again this year!! :D

Good luck to everyone trying to get tix for this summer's show!

Best chance of getting tix?

Post by cbasse71 »

Thank you Carribean Soul! I am hesitant to head to the box office again this year, seeing how much of a luck of the draw it was last year (not to mention cold!). In your experience, what has been the best bet for getting tickets?

I am also hesitant to go to an outlet, since I've read there may be some other shows going on sale the same day - just adding to the traffic!

Your ideas are appreciated!

:P
