I got some too. I was wondering about the tailgating there, never been. Usually go to Cincy, but this year it is on the second day of school, depending on classes don't know if I will make it to Cincy this year. How are the parking lots there? Is there just one main lot or a few different sites like Cincy? How are they there about alcohol, grills, ect?. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

:D Got front row seats for Pittsburgh. The TicketBastard gods were smiling upon us. Last year, first in line, got last row. This year, first in line, front row, baby! Oh yeah, and the tailgating is one of the best around, and we've been around. One big lot, alcohol & grills allowed. We are celebrating with some afternoon Coronas. See ya in the front row. We're bringing peanut butter and sardines.

I was lucky enough to get 5. I was first in line where I went (only 4 of us for tickets too). After the stupid 15 minute block, they could only get 5 for us... I mean me

And tailgating in Pittsburgh is great. Unless they decide to change things, it is one of the better tailgating locations I've ever been to.

Have any of you stayed at the Country Inn and Suites? It used to be called the Clubhouse Inn. They put together a poolside bbq and then do shuttle rides to the show. Back when they were the Clubhouse, which I think was about 3 years ago, this was awesome. The whole staff was wearing hawaiian shirts and leis and dancing on the bars to Fins. And they actually got an old school bus to take us to the show and Ernie, the driver, stayed and waited for us. Then a bunch of us jumped the fence when we got back and went swimming. It was fun.
They skipped a year when it became the Country Inn and Suites. Last year, the pool party was just not as fun for some reason, less people for sure. Then they took us to the concert in those hotel vans, got lost on the way there, and then when the concert was over they told us to meet at a place in the parking lot that was closed off! So we all had to sit around and wait for them to finally come back and get us! It was about 1 am by the time we finally got back!
I think I will give them another chance this year and was wondering if anyone else had plans to stay there?

I was also wondering what time the lots opened. On there site is says 3 hours before the show, but for cincy we usually get there at about noon and there are already tons of people there. Do they open earlier for jimmy or is there another area where people party?

Burn...here is how I usually do it. There are parties around the area but I like to get to the show around 10 AM. There is a lot when you get off the interstate to the left about a 1/4 mile from the entrance of starlake. We party there until we round up enough troops then storm the gates. They back traffic up and usually open up between noon and 2. It is always great fun, and the scene is excellent for tailgaiting!

I went to the Pittsburgh show last year. The lots opened around 2 o'clock and it was a GREAT time! It is gravel lot and plenty of port-a-potties.

were standing in line and the person running the booth told us they were holding the lines for 15 minutes so the internet folks could get their tix first. However, right at 10 AM, the woman said they were printing so they would sell them until they were blocked. I ended up 7th in line and my friend was 12th. I ended up getting 8 lawn, and my friend dropped out of line so others could get them. The great thing was we were in a very high traffic part of the city but not many people were there. Two of my friends scored on-line. One got 8 pavilion (2 rows from the lawn) and the other also got 8 lawn. To those who think we got too many, they all are going to good use. Many years I have had to rely on a friend of a friend

As for the parking lot. It truly is awesome. The only other venue I have seen him at was Nissan(twice) and it blows it away. Lots did open around 2 last year. Security is friendly--just pour your Corona into plastic cups.

See yinz there!!!!!
