Did anyone get detroit?

Post by BurnThatBridge »

I was fourth in line, and in only about 3 minutes tickets were gone. When the people in front of me asked for 6 and only got 4 i knew i was in trouble. Got indy and pitt though so not a total loss.

Including myself, I know 11 ppl that tried and we all got skunked. I just saw an ebay auction for 2 lawns that ended with buy it now for $300. It looks like this one is gonna be expensive.

shut out in Detroit!

Post by northernexposure »

We had five people working on tickets for the Detroit show. Two in line, two on phones and one on line. Nothing, nada, zilch! There is something up at Pine Knob. I really wonder how many tickets were really available.
With a little love and luck!!!!!

There was a small block of lawn tickets released at 1pm due to a "computer problem" with ticketmaster. I was lucky to be at work in front of my computer when I heard the announcement on the radio. There was a four ticket limit, and I was able to grab my four at around 1:10. They were snapped up pretty quickly....a friend of mine tried a few minutes later and was shut out.

Wish I would have heard the 1:00 announcement!!! I'm SO bummed. We had lots of people trying and not one person got a thing. Went to Marshall Field's at 12 oaks and 4 people got tickets, the rest were screwed!! Hope something happens by June 24. We'll be there anyway....hoping!

:( Arrived at my ticket venue's parking lot (1st come 1st serve venue) at 2:30 A.M!!!! , #7 in line. As the rest of you have stated, SHUT OUT!!!!!! Only 2 freaking people at our venue received tix. :x Originally had planned on going to the venue at 6:00 A.M. What a joke that would have been!!
You are correct when you say something is up at Pine Knob. Namely, corporate seats!!

I think the real problem lies in the fact that the ticket limit was increased to 8 this time around. Everyone buys 8 even if they don't have 6 or 7 other parrotthead friends. Bing, Bang, Boom the tix are gone.

Notice to those hoarding the extra tix looking to make a profit off your extras, WHEN I SEE YOU IN THE PARKING LOT TRYING TO PEDDLE YOUR EXTRAS AT THE LAST MINUTE I WILL GLADLY BE PAYING YOU FACE VALUE (If your lucky)!!!!!!!

Memo to MSU out there, sorry buddy! Hope your luck was better than mine!

I was fifth in line here in Traverse City. I thought tickets were a sure thing. Even with online orders, phone calls and waiting in line, how do 15,000 tickets sell in 2 mins? And why can't we get two shows? It's been a few years since he's visited the Great Lakes.....

Im thinking about writing one of the news station and try to get them to look into Palace sports ticket distrubution methods, I really think there is something going on over there thats not exactly on the up and up. I mean even Ozzfest and Metallica dont sell out in under two minutes..

gonna have to start my new ticket search.

I too got the sold out message at 10:02. :( I even kept trying for another 20 minutes, hoping that any tranactions that got timed out would cause some tickets to fall back in the pool.

They always sell out fast here but I think that beats our previous record by at least 5 minutes. :-?

I knew people KL that were at ticket windows, and no tickets were even available when they opened. Some others say that the first 2 or 3 people in line got tixs, then "Sold Out". You can't tell me that most of these tickets where sold (or reserved) well before the 10:00 AM opening bell.

I got 8 Tickets, and they went fast

Post by hustedj »

I got my 8 tickets on-line. I got right through right at 10am and scored 8. After that I tried to see if I could get more and after 4 min they were gone. Can't wait to see Jimmy its been 2 long years since my last show.

Rumor has it that 11,000 Pine Knob tickets were sold before they went on sale including a large number that were scarfed up by Ticketb*st*d employees. Apparently Jimmy's people decided that wasn't fair and all those tickets have been voided.

Be careful who you buy from. No word on what will happen to those tickets.

Still sounds real fishy to me. If it was Pine Knob employees getting these tickets first, i can assume that jimmy will say bye bye to Pine Knob once and for all.

Dear KL: What was your source as to this rumor. I'm very curious.
In regards to JB not being happy with the people at P.K., from what I have heard that's nothing new. I had heard that P.K. got on his bad side a few years ago when they demanded his concerts be part of the "old" series ticket packages.
