I remember we walked through the gates and there were at least 20 tubs full of corona. But there was no staff. It was a free for all. Total peanut butter conspiracy. I was laughing so hard I could hardly get the hanful of ice cold coronas down my throught.  .

Well it looks like Key Largo by day, TR's by night and alot of TEQUILA to go around. Man this can't come soon enough. I have one hell of rain storm headed my way for the weekend so I need to cover up the TIKI BAR for awhile. Oh well, just take the boat drinks indoors. Can't wait to party with all of you in Vegas

Well,

This has been an interesting series of posts.

It sounds like a great time, at TR's, and The Key West Pool. Last year I went to TR's and was a little disappointed in the venue, but was not there the night of the big party, I am sure it was much better.

Looking forward to driving my little white convertible out from San Diego on friday morning and hooking up with as many Phans as possible! It's great to get the season going, as I will be at Alpine Valley, NIsson, Great Woods, then the final shows hopefully at San Diego and Irvine!

Do not know where I am staying, but I know where I will be saturday night! Fellow PH's, say hello...I will be the idiot with a California Plate PIRET40 on a string around my neck........

Jiggs,

If the Holiday Inn was near a freeway, a mile or so from the venue, I was there! I remember a small parking lot contingent (maybe 40 cars) nie folks...and the wierdest thing.... some kind of scholl bus driving school going on at the other end of the lot. Was this the place, or am I halucinating? I definetely was in Chicago last year for my first Chicago show, and my regulat stop at The Lodge near Division/Rush Streets.

Did I see you there?

indeed you did shcool busses and all...I remember you're SUV with the places you'd been and planned to go...if I recall you stuck your ca plates on you IL rental...I was with the gang that had the large woden frame with the parrotts and such attached to it...we talked for a little while mostly about different shows at different venues...I remember it seemed to be about 120 degrees that day

I remember you pholks. Yes, my "M.O." when I fly to a show is rent the largest SUV I can, put my PIRET40 California plates on the vehicle and use the roof as a mobile dance floor. I am the reason you never buy a rental vehicle.

You are so right, it was hot! At one point, we went over to a party thrown by the Chicago PHC in some park. Gtreat live music, but very hot, especially by the BBQ!

For my first time, it was a great Chicago show. You going to the show this year or Alpine? I think I am going to Alpine, not Chicago.

I'll be at least the saturday show in chicago...I have a conflict for Alpine but if things work out I may try to get tickets...alpine is a blast and much better sound than chicago...

to others, sorry for hijacking your thread...we can get back to vegas now...

OK....................time for a few thoughts and ramblings from Parrothead Bob about LA$ VEGA$. I have seen Jimmy in Vegas 4 times and it has always been a blast. I have stayed at the Key Largo three times now, and I am really looking forward to it this year. I have ventured over to Tommy Rockers twice, and while last year was wierd, I have always enjoyed the music, drinking and dancing. Tommy Rocker's band is great! Granted I do live in the state of Utah and we have nothing that resembles a Buffett tribute band here. I say we give the LVPHC another chance.
Las Vegas is a blast anywhere you go when Jimmy is in town. It is a sea of Hawaiian Shirts and Crazy hats. Everyone is so phriendly and just looking to have a good time. Except for the chick that picked a fight last year with Idaho FINS UP dude. It is a major difference from the Las Vegas I visited two weeks ago for the Nascar Race, that was a sea of rednecks! LOL.

I will be there with my wife, and my Brother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law, they are Buffett Virgins. We should hit the Key Largo around 10:00am on Friday. If anyone has not been there yet, It is fun to decorate your door to your room and the window and the walls of your room with parrotphernalia.
And here is a question/offer for the Idaho Boys, and anyone else traveling down I-15 from the North. We will be staying Thursday night in Mesquite Nevada, a small town with a few casinos about 1 hour north of vegas. The Virgin River Hotel and Casino has rooms for 18 bucks a night. So if anyone wants to do that, we are looking to have some phun Thursday night too.

This is me and my wife right before last years show, come say hello when you see us! Fins Up!
