Hi Jen -

I am not a lawyer - but I do not think I have much say here. phjim may though. A URL address is copyright protected. And if someone uses an image they own as a link to their site, it too is copyright protected. Pictures from that site are copyrighted - but within limits. So long as the copy that you are making is for personal use, and you do not further distribute the material, and you make no "for-profit" use of the material, then you are in a safe haven under federal copyright law.

Since I uploaded the photo - I do not think I have "rights" to it anymore.

I think the most I can do is stick pins in the Voodoodoll I got in New Orleans!

actually, Karin, had another friend in a similar situation. you OWN that picture. no one has the right to use it without your permission. you gave phjim the right to use it on BN by posting it. no one has the right to use it on ebay. you have every right to write to both the sellers and to ebay and demand they stop using the picture immediately.

Post by Lost in Margaritaville »

Well we scored here in Maine. Had 5 computers going and my husband got 8 for Thursday and 8 for Saturday all by 10:03!!!! 8) And that was after we found out our usual Ticketmaster outlet was no longer an outlet!

See everyone at the party, which by the way, the tailgates at GW are the best!

don't bother with jim, the guy isn't linking to the image he probably flat out stole it. right click on any image and then click save image and its all yours.... one question karin, did you have permission from buffett inc. to photograph a copywrited performance?

I'd feel bad for you, but I have no soul.....

Karin.
Step one: Contact the seller and tell him/her to remove your picture.
Step two: look here http://webhelp.ebay.com/cgi-bin/eHNC/sh ... =copyright
AND Here
http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/pn ... mages.html
for more info
Step: three: go here http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-RS.html
-Select QUESTONABLE CONTENT ON EBAY
Then- POTENTIALLY INFRINGING ISSUES
Then- USE OF LINKS, IMAGES ... WITHOUT PERMISSION.

Then type away your complaint!

I say contect the seller first and let him/her know you are reporting them to Ebay.

Now you REALLY Owe me

Karin -

You still have the rights to the pictures.

I GIVE the Jager Song mp3 away, but I still own the rights to it.

Do as posted above - Ebay isn't gonna keep them up long because THEY don't want legal issues.

As far as tix... we did okay for the traditional Thursday show... I think we got something like 12 pavilion seats and 8 lawn but I'm not sure because I got those TM errors...

Yes BOR. . I owe you! I always do what I say I will. . I'm funny that way!

I like your suggestions. I am not looking to sue anyone - I am just annoyed that I got shut out and then I see 30 or more tickets available on Ebay at a 400% markup!

Hey AF - are you telling me cameras are not allowed into concerts?? :o

I posted above....we tried driving 200 miles to Burlington, VT. The woman assured us that there are never more than 20 people in line and everyone gets tickets.

The genius' in VT sold the first 5 people in line 8 tickets to each show. 16 a person!!!! 3 out of the 5 gave them to scalpers. Wonderful as usual. We had three people there and were 9th in line....just barely got 6 individual tickets for Thurs. night. 3 in the shed, 3 in the new sections.

At lease we had a nice afternoon skiing at Stowe :D

FYI - There are a number of tickets for sale on Ebay for section 4 or 5 row A. These seats are designated as handicapped. You either need to be in a wheelchair or the companion of someone who is. They will not let you sit there - regardless of whether you have a ticket.

Thanks Matt for thinking of this! I called Ticketmaster and they confirmed the Tweeter Center's policy!

I have never been to Boston much less the JB show at Great Woods. Several of us decided this was the year to try and came up blank with several DSL connections and phones running.

So as popular as this show seems to be, is there any chance of scoring tickets the day of the show? Are these tickets that hard to get or do there seem to be some people at the tailgate trying to get rid of tickets last minute. Please just give me some words of comfort!

We will probably come up anyway because of all that we've heard about the tailgate experience. Plus, we hope to find some tickets for the Red Sox/Yankees game on Friday (yeah, right! but we can hope). Hope to see y'all there.

hey ngaparrothead you guys should make every attempt to get to GW you won't be disappointed. You have to be careful because you must show a ticket to get into the GW parking lot (there are ways around this) so don't rely on trying to get tix in the lot. Unlike other venues there are not that many people selling tix in the GW lot as everybody wants to go to this one. By the way there will be a number of us from the board going to both shows as well as the Yanks Sox game on Friday night. Let us know how you make out. HOPE TO SEE YA AT THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND SHOW!

I just posted this same question in another thread, but what the heck...

Will they allow you in with a printed receipt? Buying tickets online the day before or the day of the show (which is what I did for the Atlanta show recently) wouldn't work at all if they don't let you in without an actual ticket. :x :-?

yes they will let you in with a receipt, thats what you need to do if your picking them up at will call. For the most part telling them your buddy has your tickets and he is already inside the lot will not get you in. You will have to meet people outside the lot and go in together. GW is one of the only venues that rarely releases more tickets the day of or before the show. It has happened in the past but VERY rare.
