Save yourself the $25.00 per ticket that Tommy Rockers is charging and come to Key Largo - Matt is paying for an open bar for all of us ...Ok I made the last part up...... But key Largo sounds great, Pool, Booze no cover charge and you could always stumble inside for a little gambling in between shots.CousinInCali wrote:I've been going back and forth for Friday night. Toomy Rockers or not. But if the pool at Key Largo is happening, that sounds like it solves my problem.

The ONLY thing that might make me consider Tommy Rocker's (as I don't like crowds, etc), is this: is it true that Sunny Jim will be playing there? I LOVE him (love his recordings, and he was WONDERFUL on the side stage last year before the Houston concert -- which was GREAT, TONS of apparently ignorant people not getting it, you could get into the first three rows and kick in on the "warm breeze" stuff). Seriously, I'd pretty much written off Tommy Rocker's, but if Sunny Jim is seriously booked in there....
SOLID information, please (and, better yet, an approximate schedule for when he'll be playing?)
MANY thanks to anyone (like the organizers) for the specific times he'll be playing?

Yes indeed....Sunny Jim will definitely be playing at Tommy Rockers along with Uncle Monkey and Conched Out (a separate set for each band!). Conched Out's performance will also feature some very special guests on both keyboards and steel drums! Tommy Rockers will be the ultimate party on Friday nite and you don't want to miss it! Check out all the information here..... http://www.geocities.com/piratelksat40/concert.html

Yep. Went to the party store. Oh course, I just picked up my Oriental Traders catalog and they are 1/4 the price. They have just about everything you could need for a JB show. It says shipping is 7-10 days, so it's cutting it close for Vegas. The have leis, grass skirts, beads, hats, even a parrot hat.mason wrote:hey cuzzin. where do you buy all of those beads? at a party store?

Just got back from Vegas. The MGM is still calling it "The Far Side Of the World Tour". Anyhow it's always great to see Jimmy as you walk along the Strip. Drove this time, it took me the "Box Set" to get there. When I go back in 2 weeks I will be flying. Stopped by Tommy Rockers, never been there before, but it seems kinda small to me for a big party and very hard to get to. If I was there I might give it a chance, but since I'm staying at the Key Largo, don't know if I will be going anywhere but there. Can't wait. Still have my key from the Flamingo incase I want to check their party (they are checking room keys before you go to the pool) .
