Ahhh Viva LAS VEGAS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just read several paragraphs of Pirates Looks at 50 to get me in the mood to pack the travel gear and get ready....the list:

- giant bottle of Captn Morgan's Rum, 2 liters of diet coke, limes
- My club card to the House of Blues Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay.
- Paying off my old markers at The Hard Rock and Bellagio before I get to town (Not that I will need new ones)
- Shining up the convertible with the California plates PIRET40
- Getting on the road by 8 am friday out of San Diego
- Avoiding the 100 mph ticket this time.
- Playing the new (well not really new) 38 song CD just received from Amazon on the way.

- Most of all, looking up old phriends when hitting town!!

5 days!!

hmmmm.....if you are driving So Cal to Vegas, probably 2/3 donuts, plus the burger stop.

OK, you may avoid the DUI. Word of caution, anyone going below 80 mph is considered a road hazard on I15, and the CHP will pull you over for going too slow. Also try Altoids.

If you are flying, it helps to avoid pulling out the Tequila until the Southwest flight is actually airborne, I speaketh from experience. Even the SW flight attendants are not that nice anymore.

Probably more like hot dogs from AM PM. Takes less time. I don't want anything to delay my Vegas arrival.

OG's????????
Ahh yes...OG's. Not sure if I lose more money at the craps tables or OG's. If you haven't been it's a great family place just ask a cabbie, he'll take you there and if you're lucky he'll sell you a two for one pass.

stryker, go to t rockers, just so you can say you went. make your own decisions about the place. then when others talk about the place in glowing terms or in not so glowing terms, you can nod your head knowingly in agreement, or disagreement. but do be sure to take in as much as you can in the short amount of time you are going to be there.

OK....................It's time for a team drink! Arrgggh!
I am heading out with my wife, her sister and my brother in law on Thursday. Staying that night in Mesquite Nevada (anyone else??) , then on Friday, we should roll in to the Key Largo around 11:00am.
I found some cheap "Shasta" fruit punch in two liter bottles called "Tiki Punch" I thought that stuff would be an appropriate mixer. I'm gonna get some Dark Rum and some Parrot Bay. I'll be serving them up in my room at the Key Largo. Stop by, say Hello and have a drink. We'll probably be the only Parrotheads from Utah. Lol. The party by the pool at the Key Largo is going to be great!!!
We ended up getting tickets to Tommy Rockers, I hope some of you still planning on going to Tommy's that night.
Are we there yet?

Stryker.....Tommy Rockers should be a great time. Tommy and his band Conched Out are very good. Looks like the other acts they are bringing in will be fun. Don't forget about the SPECIAL GUESTS! I do have one suggestion for those going to Tommy's. The last two years we have had trouble getting a cab afterwards. There was a huge line. Last year a bunch of us had to pool our money and hire a Huge Limo Bus that was a rolling Disco. Kind of cool actually. My point is that you should make plans on how to get back to the hotel afterwards.
