Sold-Out Times?

Post by Gumbo »

Does anyone know how I can find out how fast yesterday's shows sold out? Haven't been able to find the info on the net. Maybe this thread could be used by those who have a good idea of how fast a venue sold out.

I got tickets for Bristow, VA at 10:17. My friend tried again at 10:18 and it gave him the "No Tickets Available" page. So I'm assuming Nissan sold out in about 18 minutes.

How about the other shows?

I got through and got Great Woods Thursday on-line at around 10:15, shortly thereafter, I got sold out screens when looking for 2 seats, then 1. As I had said in another post, <sorry for repeating myself>, I had 5 high speed connections running all at once, and by 10:20 or so, both GW shows were unavailable. 5 computers, and I got 2 tickets.

I was about 11th in line at an outlet and got Saturday Great Woods tix this was about 10:20, they guy right in front of me wanted 6 for saturday they looked and told him there were only single Pavilions left so he bought 4 singles, when i got there I told him I needed 6 Pavilion together or 6 lawn for Saturday. He said he would check the computer and told me he had 6 together in section 12??? for Saturday, so I got them, the guy who was in front of me was still near by and witnessed this, needless to say he wasn't to happy. My Theory, I am thinking someone had the 6 I ended up getting reserved online and ticketmasted booted them out and released the tickets, section 12 is dead center so something had to of happened to those tix available that late!
Talk about luck of the irish!

I was fourth in line for detroit tickets, couldn't have been more than 2-3min before they were gone, but with a smaller venue and tons of tickets gone before they even go on sale. I guess that was expected

I find it interesting that you got tickets at 10:17 for Bristow. One of my buddies got a sold out message at 10:11.

We ended up being lucky though. With multiple broadband connections we snagged 12 tickets by 10:04. It only took me 2 tries and my fiance 3. Not bad, since last year I was in line & on the phone. My sister was on the phone & my fiance was online and on the phone and we only got 2. I will never wait in line again.

July 5 is to far away.

I got tickets in section 201 for VA at 10:04. I used my PC at work since my connection speed is fast (I think we have a T-1).

I know I got lucky. Some years I couldn't get in at all. My past experience is if you did not get tickets by the first 15 minutes they went on sale, then you might as well give up.

With ticketmaster, you only have a minute for your verification page. If you go past the minute, it throws your tickets back in the que for someone else to use. This is why some people will find no tickets but someone after them will find tickets. It is usually some poor smuck who did not fill out their info within the minute time frame. Two years ago I got the message "no tickets available" after 10 minutes of being on sale, but my brother was able to get them at the 12 minute mark.
