FYI.... I know of someone that has a few extra tickets for Detroit. I just got some from him and he has more... I don't know how many. His email is SD7550@yahoo.com.

Oh yeah... I did pay a little extra. But it was a lot less than anything else I could find. At least I have tix and hopefully between now and June I'll be able to score something "down in the front"!!

Hey Def!

What's up? Haven't seen you since Cinci last year. Thanks for the info, I contacted him this morning and he set me up with a couple of lawn seats for Detroit. Sweet!!!! I paid a bit of a premium, but not bad compared to what some of the brokers are asking for. Of course it's Buffett, and there's not a chance I'm missing out on our first "Home Game" in a couple years.

Talk to ya soon!

MSU, love the avatar! I agree, we have some ticket brokers working BN. But that doesn't bother me, my friends and I always go to outdoor shows without tickets and always find them for face value a couple hours before show time.

My favorite guy is the one selling tix for Nashville that says "Finz Up!" at the end of his detail. I called this person to check pricing, and it was way too high. By the way, when I asked him if he was going to the show he declared that he had no clue who Jimmy was :P

Hey man...."FINZ UP"

That's about as bad as paying the big bucks to be close, only to find that you're surrounded by people that were handed free tickets and don't have a clue as to what the words to the songs are! I've had that happen more than once. The incredible markups that the brokers charge are at times enough to choke a horse. but I've kind of come to accept the fact that if I want to sit.... or should I say stand where I like to be, its gonna cost a little extra. I don't mind paying their "finder's fee" as long as its within reason. I once paid $400 for a ticket, so a hundred or so seems relatively cheap. I don't really like the idea, but the fact that my old boat holds 250 gallons of gas at $2+ per gallon sux too, and it doesn't keep me from spending time on the water. Its all part of the game.

TICKET exchange and fees

Post by kenpo »

hey gang,
no offense but I'm selling my INDY seats I had other things come up..
my fees from ticket bastard and UPS with face value came to a total
of $ 166.70 oops in ticket exchange i put $176.00 any way I really don't care if y'all get mad at me that is what i paid how could I offer it for less??
last winter tour i lost out big time I averaged about 130.00 - 150.00
a pair not including UPS and gave away over 300.00 dollars in UPS charges, I'm nice but not rich... so i hope i don't get complaints from the flock, if I charge what i paid this year... $300.00 could have gotten me
3rd row,, if i wanted to chalk up numbers. so that was my loss and stupidity from now on all tickets i release, i will have to get my cost back..
that's fair.. I will change my INDY post now... see ya' later..
peace all,
james

Kenpo...I don't think most people will be mad if you sell them for what you paid for them (inlcuding TM and other charges), I always include the TM fees if I sell them...most people get upset when those claiming they bought them from a broker on the day the ticketes went on sale for 2x the face and now decided they had too many tickets and are only merely "recovering" their cost (most likely a lie)...good luck selling your tix..

you pay the ups to get the tix in hand. we didn't do so for vegas last year, bought them in march, didn't have them the begining of may so we called. we were told that because we did regular mail, they wouldn't mail them out till the week of the show. after much complaining and threatening they did mail them first week of may, we were traevling from the eas coast so we didn't trust they'd be mailed on time. this year we bought gw on sat, they came today
