Finally, an important topic. I've been on this campaign since 1996, the year Jimmy was eligible. Don't stop BN'ers. Keep those emails rolling through. Let's get him where he belongs, immortalized with the greats so 100 years from now millions will see his work on display.

By the way, I have heard of The Clash and check out the scorecard below:

Hit Singles
Jimmy Buffett 2
The Clash 1

Check their site. Look at the inductees. The Clash aren't the only 1 hit wonders to make the hall. Even The Dead only had one hit single.

It's not about hits or number of fans - this is not some popularity contest. If you take the time to read about the R&RHOF you actually see that it's really more a MUSICIAN'S award voted on by others in the music biz.

Again, I'm a Buffett fan, not a Clash fan but it shows a lack of understanding about the history of music to imply that our beloved JB has contributed more to music than the Clash. Love em or hate em, one hit or not - they inspired an entire generation of musicians. THAT'S what it's about.
