Hi All! I love reading the posts here. I feel so much like all of you so get my "Jimmy" thing!!! Anyway I have 2 tatoos that are Jimmyesque. I have a shark on my tummy that is about 2" long with sunglasses on and "Fins to the left" on top and "Fins to the right" under the shark. The other one is on my right hip and it is simply a parrothead. I am getting at least 2 more before I am done. But, I will say this, I won't be in a hurry to get another one on my tummy. It did hurt like he11, unlike my first one that didn't hurt so badly. They were $65.00 for the shark and $45.00 for the parrothead. It is a wierd thing when you get the first one, it seems a second or third is just inevitible!!!

these are all great ideas. i wanted to expand on mine, i just didnt know what to do. i really like the idea about the parrott playing the steel drums. has anyone seen the m'ville t-shirt that has a margarita glass, and the base of it is an island....the island kinda morphs into a glass. i looked in every store and i cant find that shirt. anyways, that would be a great tattoo

Tried to get a pic today... but the digicamera is all screwed up.... try to get one and post it for you later.... just remember.... that tat will be there forever... choose carefully..Gumbo wrote:That sounds like an awesome tattoo. I'd like to see that! I play the guitar as well and would like to have the parrot doing that!Cougie wrote:My tatoo design was taken from a black and white newspaper ad for a Buffett show in the late eighties.... don't remember which one.... but it's a parrot in a hawaiin shirt and hat playing a guitar. Anyway the artist just told me to give him a day to re-sketch it and blow it up..... we decided which colors to use during the process... all for $125. It's about 3 inches tall.Gumbo wrote: My question for those of you in the know would be, how realistic is getting something like this done? Would it have to be huge to capture the detail?![]()
It took me four years to finally do it!
Still time to start a new life in the palm trees........
