The cafe is what we call daily thread...I think this one is something about it phinally being spring. Usually right at the top of the board. Just click on the last page, go there and introduce yourself.

It's a great place to meet/greet the regulars. And there's always a hot cup of java and a few Krispy Kreme's to keep everyone happy.

Just don't give Fribble any jelly beans....no matter WHAT he promises you!!!

my husband has roots down there... his dad used to visit NC every year and bring back Wilber's bbq for us... he stopped going a couple years ago and I haven't had Wilber's since.

It is sooooo good, and so unlike any bbq i've had anywhere else... (my mouth is watering thinking about it) I've even called them to see about shipping it, and they said no can do.

considered a carolina vacation this year but didn't follow through, but next year...

Welcome TVC it's kinda like the hotel california you can check out any time you want but you can never leave.

Where in NC were you going to go?....I could ship you some NC BBQ if you want! I'm not close to Wilbers...it's in Goldsboro...but I could ship some Lexington style...or from a yummy little place near here called Fuzzies BBQ!

Sunseeker... I know about Fuzzies. My best friend grew up in Madison, and introduced me to it several years ago. I used to live a lot closer to it, so I don't get to eat there much anymore.

I've seen online debate between lexington style and eastern... both are supposed to be superb! Wilber's is considered lexington style I seem to recall... darn tasty whatever it is.

As for destination, not sure without checking addresses of the NC relatives... would be a combined trip to my dad's in Fair Play SC, and sister-in-law's in Summerville, SC. Lotsa ground to cover!
