 I was wondering, everyone seems to be so exited about Vegas. Is there somthing special that happens there, or is the concert just AMAZING? I also noticed ticket prices are a lot more expensive there. Thanks guys! And forgive me, I am only a keet, and just 2 years into PHism.

It's OK, Matt.. Vegas is just a wild, fun, crazy town. An adult 'playground' - altho kids can go. The place just never shuts down. The concert is just as good as other places, but it's the parties that happen before the concert is what makes it so much fun! :D

Matt I would love to tell you all about Vegas but as a rule "Whatever Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas"

you know we say that about new orleans down here too, but it has a little more truth because you usually end up passing out somewheres and waking up in some strange place. so you literally STAY IN NEW ORLEANS

 @ BoR!!

Penny explained it nicely! Vegas is a fantastic place to visit anytime of the year because there is so much to see and do and it is just an amazing place! And the party never ends!! So when you combine the craziest city in the USA with a Buffett show and a lot of Parrotheads from all over the place, it's just WILD!!! 8) Someday you will see what we mean Matt!! :D

Hey Matt, there are some adults who have never been there, don't feel bad. They have great shows, concerts, hotels, like Penny said its an adult playground. They have gambling and you can even get married there!

You know when I went to vegas , I was kinda dissappointed in the place, its suppose to be such a big party town, but most bars were empty by 200 am although they claimed to be open till dawn. I went for five days and had enough and was ready to go home after 3, this feb in Key west was the opposite I wanted to stay longer and the bars seemed to stay busy longer, although we still were the last to leave it seemed!!!

phat matt, the vegas show is just a chance to see jimmy in a different environment. it is the same show you will see anywhere else, and a bit more expensive.

60 bucks per ticket more expensive... ....but Vegas is a great place to visit...they have roller coasters and so much to see!! The coolest thing about a Buffett weekend is that everywhere you go there is a Buffett fan in full attire...and I mean everywhere...It's so much fun to stop every Buffett fan and find out where they're from...We really take over the town, and in Vegas you can carry your drinks wherever you go. The hotels are nice and they have great pools.

Buffett shows are better in other venues (the MGM Grand really has terrible acoustics) but the parties are great...I met lots of BNer's last year and I had a blast. I think that this is the venue that people will go to from long distances because it's Vegas and there's so much other stuff to do also...

two great things = one really great thing

Its vegas and its jimmy...I love vegas, there is always something going on and there are alway people looking for a good time...then throw in buffett, even better. I don't need a reason to go to vegas, nor do I really think I need a reason to see buffett...but, there would have to be one hell of a reason for me to miss buffett in vegas...

one big differece I've noted (other than the people that get comped seats in the first few rows) is that every one is a phan. Granted most phans are from CA, but everyone is a phan. I come from IL every year to see him in vegas and others come from all over too. People fly in and drive for hours becuase they know they'll have a good time, and its buffett in vegas.

all shows in vegas are more expensive than other venues...its just the way the city is run...its more of a vacation when you go to vegas rather then seeing the show at a more 'local' venue. Everything goes and everyone seems to 'let loose' just a little more...

...if ya never been and ever get a chance to go, plan a 3 day weekend and just let loose, sure you'll spend more money but its worth it!
