it helps to know what face value is. then you should decide what you are willing to pay. just go to the venue the day of the show. you will find someone with extra tics. make them an offer. it also helps to know where you want to sit. check out the seating chart for that.
good luck

Last year my friends scored pavilion seats by calling Ticketmaster in another city far away, I think it was in Texas. They got through pretty quick and got them. One thing to keep in mind when calling another city is to make sure there are no big shows going on sale there that may tie up the lines.

If you are buying tickets at the ticketmaster location try to be the first person in the line. This worked for me. I got 30th row after 6 years of trying to get seats for Alpine. It was worth the wait. The sound is great at alpine, but once you are under the canopy its ten times better. Lots of extra tickets are floating around before the show, that may also be a good place to get pavillion seats. Get there early and head to the Bus row were the PH clubs are they seem to always have extra tix or know someone who does.

If you call TM in another city, make sure they will sell you alpine tickets. Sometimes they only sell for shows in the same region. I have foudn this out the hard way!!!!
