I absolutely agree, whenever I'm having trouble with finances, relationships or whatever it may be,i can always fire up some JB and I suddenly leave all that behind, and the concerts, books,cd's,etc. give me something to look forward to,it makes the days go by faster.

I'll be happy when....

Post by Ceol na Mara »

Jimmy and his music help me get by all the time. And while "Someday I will" still helps me get by, I also think "What am I waiting for?" The line that started hitting home was from "Migration": "That's why it's still a mystery to me, Why some people live like they do. So many nice things hap'nin out there, Never even seen the clues."

Someone sent this to me:
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire. The truth is there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges.

Remember that time waits for no one.

So, stop waiting .
Until your car or home is paid off.
Until you get a new car or home.
Until your kids leave the house.
Until you go back to school.
Until you finish school.
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married.
Until you get a divorce.
Until you have kids.
Until you retire.
Until summer..
Until spring.
Until winter.
Until fall.
Until you die.

There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
So work like you don't need money,
love like you've never been hurt, and
dance like no one's watching.
More wagging, less barking.

Yea, a Buffett song for every mood and for everything in life. Even on the worst day, just drinking some rum and listening to Buffett makes the day all right.

I remember the first time I heard Margaritaville, coming home from the beach on a warm summer afternoon. Thought if anything this guy is at best a flash in the pan but damn..what a great song, little did I know.

Its attitude I guess, a perception of reality that matters and Buffett can take you to that place where dreams come alive, passions are ignited, a beautiful mix of fantasy and reality. It surely is a gift that a few lyrics in harmony with music can reach so deep into a strangers soul. Truely a gift indeed.
