I heard it and thought it sounded pretty good. Of course, I'm not much of a critic of any of Jimmy's music.
Today is the tomorrow you spent yesterday worrying about. Was it worth it?

It sounds okay to me. If it sounded the same without Fingers, then that means Fingers could be replicated.

You mean "old music" i.e., remakes.

I thought it was kinda kewl actually. Given, its not the best version of the song. I think the best is the one on YHTBT, but I really like having Nadirah sing, and it sounds much more like a sailing song. And I love to have a studio version of the song like this! :D
and Jimmy theres still so much to be done...

I agree with Matt in that its great to have Nadirah on vocals for whats really become her verse. She does a beautiful job. I hate the fact that the first 45 seconds of the track is filled with talking. I also think the song sounds extremely overproduced. I like the simple SOASOAS version off the self titled album. I also agree with Matt in that the YHTBT version is great also. This version sounds like a cover band trying to do the song. Its very rare I criticize a Buffett tune...I hope it grows on me.

I don't criticize many Buffett songs either, but i can't stand the new version. Nadirah singing is the one part of it i do like. I like the YHTBT version best, but i love YHTBT. :D

I've got a buddy who's a fellow parrothead, and he hates it when Nadirah sings. I love it when she's got a chance to show her ability. Don't worry, I smacked him for his anti-Nadirah comment!

I have to agree about the intro. The only time you need to introduce a song like this is during a show. Other than that I think it is ok. I personally like the T,T,S version. :pirate:

hEY Daddy I completly agree. You guys can take Heather, me I'll take Nadirah anyday! And as far as the introduction to the songs go... NOT GOOD :( . The all time worst is the intro to That's What Living Is to Me off of Floriday's... "and it still holds true in the fabalous 80's" BAD, BAD, BAD!

I agree with that, but the other one that makes me cringe is when he is doing the "rap" on Bank of Bad Habits and he says
"and the 8th deadly sin is...PIZZA!" Oh, no he didn't!

ya that one is terrible too. It amazes me that these little sayings make it on the album. One would think that somewhere down the line SOMEBODY would say "look Jimmy I know your trying to be cute and funny but it just sounds really stupid"

He needs some new PR people...I hereby volunteer my services! :D
Oh, I just thought of when he is singing Margaritaville live (I think on TT&S) and he says "it's the lost verse! I found it, I found it!" Gag.
But I love you anyways, Jimmy! :D

I don't know about you, but I love the whole C.D....and I also know one thing...

He's Jimmy Buffett, and we aren't.

If you don't like the new version, listen to the old. But none of us barefeet children are in a position to say 'it's not good.' Yes, we pay for it...but he's the man!

Sail on Jimmy!
