JB CONCERT
Which JB Concert/ Atmosphere is the best.Where do you like to watch him?
I prefer Atlanta. Houston is nice. Miami is also good.

Haven't seen him in Atlanta ( I hear it's awesome) ....
but I swear, the Irvine, CA shows are legendary ... those parking lot pre-parties are ridiculous! The women, the weather, 15,000 nuts partying from noon until showtime, then until 2 am when they clear the place!
I saw Jimmy (acoustic) at Duke's in Waikiki last March on the beach with about 3,000 people ...started about 5 pm and played until 7:30 pm ... that was classic!

But i go to atlanta every year and i heard there was once counted over 30,000 people. but hey what do i know. but i could of sworn there was about 50, 000 all over the area for the preliminary parties.

Do I have to be the one to bring this up again?
We all know that Great Woods is the best... Now, I'm sure you'll say that Jimmy say's that everywhere he goes so it doesn't mean anything... Well, I've seen him in 7 different states and I've never heard him say it anywhere else.
Get proof, then I'll believe ya.

its apart of his job! to make the crowd happY!
Great woods is just as good as cincy, houston, etc.
doesn't matter where. Jimmy loves them all. And so do we!!
Ive been to 3 concerts and 2 states and he said it everytime!!

The people who have been to great woods will say it is the best of all, the ones who don't list great woods as the best simply have never been to great woods. I have never heard or read anyone who has been to great woods for Buffett say a bad thing about the whole Great Woods experience.
I have seen Jimmy at other venues and heard him on RM from other venues and I have NEVER heard him say anything about that venue being best like he does at great woods, of course I am not sure how much time Jimmy spends in the parking lot to make a rational decision on which is best but he does mention every year at great woods how he loves that place and always makes it his last stop on his summer tour, same time every year. "Great Woods" is the Super Bowl of Buffett concerts, the hardest ticket to get of all his regular shows no matter where he is playing. Just look at eBay the going rate for a Lawn seat at great woods is the same for a nice Pavilion seat every place else.

maybe, but only because the E-center in Camden hasn't been around as long....you can't buy a pavilion ticket for for the price of a lawn in GW..that just BS, check the auctions...BottleofRum wrote:"Great Woods" is the Super Bowl of Buffett concerts, the hardest ticket to get of all his regular shows no matter where he is playing. as a matter of fact I sent you a message with an extra pair covered pavilion ticket for the saturday show last year and you didn't even respond to my message...could it be everyone you knew already had tickets?
now if you're asking me are cincy and Atlanta overrated buffet towns, then yes I would agree that...Chicago, plllleeeeease...so we agree in part, but please don't paint with too broad a brush.......

WHAT the hell are you talking about? I got tickets last year inline the day they went on sale and got enough for everyone that needed them in my group, I never posted that I needed GW tix so why would you contact me?Scoman16 wrote:

The going rate on eBay the days after the tix went onsale for a Camden Pavilion ticket started at $150 , the going rate for a Saturday Lawn for GW started at $150! As of RIGHT NOW Look at ticketsnow.com, the cheapest GW Sat is $205 for a Lawn ticke BUT they have several Camden Pavilion tickets for $205 and less!
I am not saying camden is not as good as GW or that GW is better than any other place or am i saying that Atlanta and Cincy are overrated. I am saying that GW is the hardest ticket to get of all his concert stops!

From what I hear Great Woods must really be great, so I plan to make that one day soon. New Orleans was great, but Mobile, Al a few years ago was off the charts. Jimmy had been on and off TV during the week, he felt at home and the crowd for the most part never sat. Hearing Stars Fell on Alabama was a unique experience, Jimmy seemed actually taken back with the crowd reaction, it was full of great moments. Also, I agree they are all good, the best concert is the next one.

My apologies...I should have made myself a little clearer... Having been new to the boards and trading tickets last year, I found it odd that I ended up with an extra pair for the Sat GW show last year and not one person I contacted here (not thru the exchange) needed them nor knew of anyone that could use them...Admittedly, it was only about a week before the show when I realized I needed to get rid of them, but I almost ended up eating the tickets....BottleofRum wrote: WHAT the hell are you talking about? Don't get me wrong...It's a fact that the hardest ticket to get is the Sat GW show. I believe, however, that ticket is not significantly more difficult to get than a Camden ticket as your original post seemed to imply (or at least I inferred (sp?))...
Ticketsnow.com also has Saturday GW pavilions for the same $205, as well as Camden lawns as high as $205...in other words I think they are fairly comparable...

You know, I really hate when this discussion becomes personal! The question is asking for each person's opinion, therefore, there is no right or wrong answer!
That being said, Starlake is awesome and so is Cincy.....................
but Great Woods is by far the best IN MY OPINION!! That doesn't mean that I don't still love Starlake and Cincy though.

My opinion simply is Great Woods is the toughest ticket to get, and I think most people agree with that there was nothing personal from my side. The best place to see a buffett show is a personal opinion that each person has and there is no wrong answer to the question "Where is the best place to see a Buffett show" but there are plenty of opinions which are all correct.
