Well I for one would travel with him for 30 years through hurricanes, snowstorms, windstorms, sandstorms, beautiful days, or any conditions.

Oh wait ... isn't that what he's been doing with us all along?

"This kind of a vacation is pleasant every once in a while, but after too much of it you start thinking, "There has to be more to the world than THIS." No, I never start thinking that, speak for yourself! And Jimmy is bald, not balding.....no offense Jimmy

"It's still strange to think of Buffett, a balding, gray- haired 56-year-old whose belt barely conceals his pot belly, as a rock star."

I can only hope I look like Jimmy when i'm 56!

Me, too, Bill. I've read some reviews like this over the past 30 or so years. To me, Jimmy has a perfect balance of SYKBH and the introspective, quieter ones in this set list. And the way he keeps mixing it up makes everything very interesting.

I took 5 Buffett virgins to Dallas and THEY 'got it' a lot better than this guy.

Oh, well.

I like the review in the Houston Chronicle better.
Ken Hoffman is a self-proclamed PH and proud of it.

Why do they let anyone sitting around the newsroom write these reviews

Boy was this guy at the wrong show. Someone should have told him that concerts are supposed to be fun. Can't say I've ever noticed a pot belly either. But, it's in the newspaper so it must be true.

You can generally pick concert reviewers out of the audience by just looking for the geeky people who are having no fun.

I saw everclear the other night and the local newspaper sent out some 50 year old 350 pound guy in a plaid shirt to review the show. Is he really going to GET IT? Not likely.

I just read this review in my newspaper at lunch today.......as usual the RMN doesn't have anything good to say about Buffett ~ they never do.......God I miss Florida!!!

However, this show sold out in 10 minutes I believe ~ the place was packed last night INCLUDING BEHIND THE STAGE!!!! I thought it was so cool after intermission that Jimmy and Mac sat on a mini stage facing those people to sing a song JUST to them!

Some people just don't get it ~ we do and that's why we're here and that's all that matters!

Yet every summer - and even on the occasional snowy Colorado day in April - the singer-songwriter's upbeat, brightly colored, tropical-themed shows sell out in every city.
Now gee.. I wonder why this could be??? Cause we like him?? Cause it's fun?? This reviewer must have been the guy I saw falling down the stairs at intermission.. hit his head, and didn't have a clue what he was talking about after that!

He's getting paid to go in, your paying to go in. It doesn't matter what he says, as long as you have a good time. If your studying or preparing a thesis on musical appreciation, then some of the stuff could be considered true.

East Texas good to see you again. I was the drunk, well ok everyone was, in the white sportscoat and bra that gave your virgins the beads as you drove in in the RV. What a show and the concert was great also.

The thing about these reviews is they really miss the real truth. I check my watch and when I know it is in the last 30 minutes, and it is a little sad that he is almost finished. Another thing is the encore, there is no mad exodus to avoid traffic, for whatever reason, people cheer and stay, I guess despite what we read, a little does not go far enough, because there is never enough!

I'm glad most people stay for the encores at the shows you've been to. At just about every show I go to, as soon as the second set ends, lots of people leave. I never leave early, but a lot of times I can look out in the parking lot during the encores and see traffic starting to line up. It never ceases to amaze me.

Another geek who doesn't get it, or get US! Why do newspapers keep sending people like this? It was a lousy review.
