An American Hero and true Parrothead

Parrot Heads love having fun but they can also be heroes. One of our own, Major Bill "Salty" Watkins, an Air Force weapons systems officer on an F-15E Strike Eagle went down with his pilot somewhere near Tikrit, Iraq on April 7th, cause unknown. The pilot, Capt. Eric Das, was found
soon after the crash, unfortunately he didn't survive so prayers to the Das family.

Salty is survived by his wife Melissa and son William T. Watkins.
Melissa is expecting the birth of their second child, a girl to be named
Mary Allison due in August. A fund has been set up for Melissa and her
children so dig deep and help the family of an American hero and true

The funeral service for William is this Saturday, May 3rd at St. Johns
Episcopal Church in Halifax, VA.
