Some additional information from the Maine Maritime Academy on the James Delaney Buffett Jr. memorial scholarship fund:

Can I donate on line? No, BUT - www.mainemaritime.edu will tell you about the school and at the Giving to the MMA page our phone numbers and emails are listed for you to contact the MMA Development Department M-F 8-4pm to make your donation.

Can I give with my credit card? Yes, over the phone to Susie Loustaunau at 207 326 2223 (DO NOT PUT IT IN AN EMAIL). We take Visa/MC/AMEX and need the usual information. You will receive a receipt and the Buffett Family, via Singing for Change, will receive a periodic updated list of donors.

The college is not in session at present. Graduation is Saturday, and our training ship, TS STATE OF MAINE is about to go on her annual 2 month cruise. An 8 bells ceremony will be performed for James Delaney Buffett on national Maritime Day (May 22nd ) to honor our shipmate while we are en route to the Canary Islands. Watch the MMA homepage for a daily cruise log. We hope to have a picture of the ceremony available at www.mainemaritime.edu on that day or the next.
