Jimmy Buffett - ALL FOR THE SEA BENEFIT CONCERT

Post by st.somewhere »

Just wondering if anyone else is planning on checking out this show? Oh... I'm speakin' from experience when I say:

"JB & the Reefers + benefit shows on Long Island = One Hell Of A Damn Good Time!!!" :P

If you don't know what show I'm talkin' about click here to find out...

Is this the same concert that they've replayed on RM?? If so, it sounded like it was a hell of time.

Now, is this all for the sea, with the exception of shrimp :-? Alright, I won't go there ... but did I laugh my a$$ off on the other thread :D

I think I'll go to that one.....I went to the one in 2000 and it was ok...the weather was a bit rough though.

Anyone else planning to go?

Nope. We thought about it and $700 plus everything else was just a little too much. I got the alumni package, it was done over the phone so I didn't have to go out to the Hamptons this morning. We plan on getting there when the doors open and setting up our chairs as close as they'll let us. That's good enough for me.

We got the VIP tix....We did it in 2000 and it was very cool. What I noticed then was the one's (majority) who get the VIP's are only there for the heck of it and sit on the ground reading books leaving room (for us others) to step over them to get to the stage. It is hard to justify the $$ to my wife, however having our anniversary in July helps a bit.

See you all in July. The other good thing is the show being on a Sunday giving the day to enjoy the beach. Gates should open at 5pm and show is starting at 7pm. 2 hrs of eating and more drinking.

I just ordered VIP tickets because (and this is scary in terms of the coincidence) that afternoon was the day I was planning on asking my girlfriend for her hand in marriage. I never wanted to be one of those "get engaged at an event" sort of guys, but it seems incredible the irony of the universe that here I am planning it for that day and the Big Man shows up to play. My girlfriend and I have shared some amazing memories at Buffett concerts, and it seems our songline has brought us together at the right time, what with Bubba here in our backyard at Southampton.

Now it looks like our first event as an engaged couple will be attending this VIP event and a Buffett concert...

Can there be a better way to start a life together than being crooned to (not that he is singing to just us) by someone who has been the soundtrack to our relationship for four years?

Can't beat it with a stick.

This is for anyone having trouble finding tickets,
Don't use the 287-8347 number you will get a voice mail . I used the college phone # 631-283-4000 and got an operator who put me in touch with the people in charge of selling tickets. I got 3 tickets just a minute ago :pirate:
