Nice post..get's you thinking....
I think it is in your mind and you choose your own Margaritaville or create it yourself. As far as a physical location I agree that you can't spoil it and give away all the little secrets still left to explore.
I agree with the Fiji post and would have to add Taveuni Island. Montauk is very nice choice but you can't beat Sag Harbor and sit by the pier dreaming about the yachts in town which have just sailed across the oceans to get here. And there is that special beach in Tortola where you can sit on the beach drinking your drink of choice watching the sunset called Cane Garden Bay......Like I said this post sure gets one thinking

Maui! Caymans! Outer Banks! Never been to Fiji but I have a feeling it would make my list!

Hmmmmmmm, I really can't say where my Margaritaville is. Seeing as I live in chilly Michigan I'd have to say either along Lake Michigan in a cute little beach town, w/ cute little beach town bars. Or on the beautiful lake where we take our boat out. The only down fall is none of my friends are big JB fans, so I usually can get away w/ playing only 1 CD. Just so you know I am in the process of trying to convert some friends & family.
